Losing the will to live with MS Flight Sim

Okay so I have the 10 disc version of Flight Sim, the premium deluxe edition. I have a gaming PC which I built which has above the spec required to run this game. I installed FS and had 6 months of gaming then it decided it wouldn't load.

After faffing for days I decided to uninstall and reinstall but omg what a can of worms that's turned out to be.... first of all it keeps telling me the activation code has already been used... I've checked and I'm using the same email address FS was originally registered with. I'm signed in to MS store & X box app and have done the old sign in sign out restart stand on your head ****...I've synced the time to make sure its not that, I've run a DCIM.exe to remove old images and recover and have scanned umpteen times and it still refuses to load.

95% on the load screen then it kicks me out.

I installed it again last night and now its no where to be found on the whole computer and when I put disk one in it starts the install wizard then boots me out to the MS store???

To say Im angry is an understatement- especially as I installed X Plane in quarter on the time and with no issues at all ( funny that!)

If anyone can help Id be obliged. I refuse to download the digital version as I paid for the disk version and dont see why I should have to pay again

Id love to but I don't have an option to do that without forking out for the whole thing again?

I've tried going to "Redeem code" and it just keeps telling me its already been activated? but the e mail address Im using is the one I originally activated the game with so I dont know why its not working now......

That's almost certainly your problem. That's been the current version for the better part of a year.

Please follow the link and use that to download the game from there

Yeah Im beginning to wonder if its that....other half swears blind its this one but I dont see how.
