Losing OneGuide picture after update

I've had a few problems since the last update. After a couple days of the update, my Kinect appears to have died - no sign of power, the console does not recognize it. That may just be coincidental.

There also is an intermittent issue with "Home" not being able to load, usually when I'm in OneGuide. There will be no action for a while after pushing the button and eventually an error message (holding down the Home button will get me the power-off options).

The one that keeps happening is after a while I lose picture when watching TV through OneGuide (there is a momentary (half second) flash of static before it cuts out). Sound is there, but there is no image. If I swap HDMI cables so the cable box is directly
connected to the TV, it shows there is nothing wrong there. I can try to close OneGuide and restart, but still no picture, only sound. The only solution I've found is to unplug the IN HDMI cable and replugging it in... picture returns.

My setup is all via HDMI, cable box -> Xbox One -> Audio System -> TV. Cable box is still working, audio system can display it's menu on the TV, and TV is picking up audio. So, has to be OneGuide. Anyone else with similar issue?

Do you even get a picture at all in Canada?? I don't care about oneguide right now, I just want a picture.

 

OneGuide missing from App

After a recent fast ring update the OneGuide is missing from the app. Did it get removed?

 

I have almost the same problem. Kinnect doesn't power on. And TV and audio (connected via S/PDIF) doesn't power on and off correctly. Kinnect not work at all.

 

The way it is set up, the Kinect sends out an IR message to your components, like a universal programmable remote. Why, I have no idea as CEC has been part of HDMI since the beginning... sure, not everyone uses HDMI, but had so many bad signals and partial
channel changes that having a second, better system makes sense. So, no Kinect, no control. Not sure if this is addressed with the S model, as it is more removed from having a Kinect

To clarify, Xbox One doesn't support CEC. The Xbox One S has a built in Blaster that will work if a Kinect is not connected as well.

What steps have you tried already with this issue? For starters we'd recommend resetting up OneGuide to see if it helps out and this guide will assist with that.

Thank you for the reply. The issue was hand-in-hand with Kinect going down, showing no power and not registering in the settings area of Xbox One. Since posting, the problem has not shown for a while, and a couple days ago, the Kinect started up again -
light on front, responding to voice commands and controlling the AV system. I'm not sure if there was an update to repair bugs, but things appear to be resolved for right now.

 

I've had this problem the last couple of days with the Kinect acting up by not recognizing commands and finally today not turning on at all. I tried the troubleshooting listed in xbox support but it didn't work for me. This isn't the first time I've had
trouble with an update.
