Losing connection when I host

I'm trying to play Grounded, Valheim and State of Decay 2 with a friend from America, I'm in Europe (I have them on game pass, my friend does too), we normally don't have much of an issue hosting other games, sometimes we have lag but it's not horrible, but in these games (Xbox platform) it keeps kicking us out of the game saying lost connection to host or something like that, if he or I host it, doesn't matter, I have 200mb internet and he has 80mb, it's symmetric, upload and download.

What can we do? We can't play the games at all.

Alright, I'll tell him to do it as well, can you explain a bit further about the DMZ functionality, what is the difference with normal port forwarding?

Well I was trying to find my NAT Type on the settings, but I can't seem to find any indication of if it's open or not

I did the port forwarding for Grounded and I did the DMZ option which should open all ports right? Does my friend have to do this as well or can I as the host do it and that should be it?

Port Forwarding and DMZ only relate to your own router...it has no impact on the other person. If you are still having issues, then they can try it as well.

It's something like "NAT type" below or next to that you can see "Open" "Moderate" "Strict" or other status

About your video, is similar but there are specific ports for the Xbox network.

Let me give you the ports:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

And yes, please ask your friend to do the same before trying again with them (or ask them to check if they already have NAT open)
