    Lose connection to xbox live after exiting an app


    I lose connection to xbox live anytime i exit an app like YouTube or Netflix, e.g. I have since been signing out and signing back in, which is tedious. Today i saw a link somewhere in the interface to connect to xbox live (to join the fun). So this appears
    to confirm im not being signed out, but instead when im returned to Home, my pins are not active and I must manually connect to Live.

    Xbox loses TV signal after using new media player

    After using the new media player app, my xbox loses the connection to my cable box when returning to watch TV.

    Lose connection to xbox live after exiting an app

    By any chance are you getting an error when you exit the app stating some services are temporarily unavailable and gives an error code 8007274d ? I have had this problem for over a month now and I notice it mostly when I shut down a game and go back to my
    dashboard (I don't really use the apps). It brings up the error and then looks like it's disconnected but I'm actually still logged in as you can see if you click the Xbox Home button on the controller (and you can see the info at the top right showing messages,
    money, etc).

    If this is the same error you are getting, a lot of people have the same problem and nothing seems to be getting done about it and as far as I've seen no staff has even commented on the issue. Lose connection to xbox live after exiting an app :(

    It's good to see that I haven't been the only one experiencing this problem lately. I hope that Microsoft gets around to fixing it, because maybe it'll clear up some of the other problems I've been having right now.

    It's good to see that I haven't been the only one experiencing this problem lately. I hope that Microsoft gets around to fixing it, because maybe it'll clear up some of the other problems I've been having right now.

    connecting to internet but not xbox live

    Having the exact same issues.

    Seems to have started right after newest Xbox update.

    JoeCool19's info exactly the same as my setup, Cisco DPC3825 modem/gateway and Shaw Cable is the ISP.

    Have tried all the suggestions and spent over 45 minutes with Xbox tech last night and still no real fix.

    It works sometimes and other times it doesn't.

    Happens to me right after I exit an app usually.

    Turn on my Xbox and shows me online, all my friends showing up online, launched Vevo app, watched some videos, exit the app back to dashboard, says not connected to Xbox live.

    What's funny is that up in the right top corner the friends icon shows that I have a few friends online.

    Yet still says I'm not connected to Xbox live.

    Internet connected but Xbox live won't connect when I run the conection test.

    Have a friend that lives in same city as me and he has the same issue coming up as well.

    A way i often use to speed up the install times is 1. unplug any Ethernet cables and connect from xbox live, 2. Sign-out of xbox live and exit any games or apps (on the dash press start then exit over what you want to exit) 3. put the game in and install.
    Always works for me and the install is done in 5-45 minutes. (depending on game size)
