Lords of the fallen update

I just bought Lords of the fallen and installed it onto my xbox one. However I am not able to update it, every time I click to launch the game, it requests to update, i click update, it qets stuck on updating or tells me I am not connected to the internet.
My connection is ok as I can go play other games online.

No matter what I still cannot update and it is very frustrating that I cannot play the game that I bought because for some reason I cannot update the game.

Please help.

Lol,go through the door next to the tutorial dude you fight & follow the corridors round.It's a red crystal type thing on the floor.

Easy to find if you look around.

I actually wound up loving this game. Great atmosphere and it's challenging the first couple of runthroughs.

Sorry to hear about the update issue! For clarification, did you install the game directly onto your Xbox One console's hard drive, or did you install on an external hard drive? I would start by Uninstalling
and Reinstalling the game. Before you reinstall the game, do a full power cycle on your Xbox One console to clear the system cache. Follow each of the steps below:

• Uninstall Lords of the Fallen
• Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
• Once the unit is powered off, unplug the power cable from the Xbox One and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  
• Plug the power back into the unit and power the console on.
• Reinstall the game. If it asks to update while you are installing the game, press 'Skip' to let the game fully install.

Thanks for the reply, I tried that multiple times but I did not unplug the power cable. Will try it again tonight and update this thread.

 

I am having the same problem... I have done the troubleshooting steps numerous times without success. This thread is old and this games still has the same problem help????

 

I am having the same problem where the game will not update. I have contacted Microsoft Support who told me to contact the game developer. I have done so but not yet received a response.

Can anyone confirm, if I uninstall and reinstall the game - will I lose my save game files or is that seperate?

Can anyone also confirm whether uninstalling/reinstalling the game fixes this issue?

 

I had the same problem, just follow Mister Beep advice & you should be fine. If installation queued just go to my games & resume installation, which happen to me a couple of times. You will not lose your SAVE files if you follow Mister Bleep steps. Hope
