Looks like XBL is down once again. I think it's time for PS4

Tittle says it all. I'm tired of this 500 xbox being so useless when XBL is down. This is the 3rd or 4th time i have been through this since i got this console almost a month ago. Can't even play Forza 5 offline. Like really ?!?!?!?!

Either get it fixed and make it better or i think it's time to move on to PS4 for me. I have been a huge fan of xbox since the Original Xbox. And have spent thousands of dollars on Xbox through out the years. And i hate to see me to move on from Xbox. But i
haven't seen XBL be this bad before. And to think the Xbox One has like 300,000 servers lol.

If you can improve the way i game on this $500 cable box then i may consider staying.

CoD AW really laggy!!

I ran speed test on X1 and I'm at 54Mbps down, 11Mbps up. Yesterday I was able to play games with no problem. Today it's lagging like crazy. It's unplayable. I think XBL is the issue as I have friends on PS4 who say they are having lag free gaming. I think
I'll just play this game on PS4. XBL has been such a disappointment lately with all its issues.

Why are people are so impatient? I'm getting the same problem as well, but I'm not freaking out over it. Things like these need time to be worked out. Impatiently saying "this needs to be fixed" or "I'm switching to PS4 because of things like this" is not
helping.

Need I remind you also for the people planning on opting to the PS4, that although their service is free, it's barely monitored and easily knocked out. Where XBL might be down for a couple hours once in a blue moon, PSN has been down more times, and for
much longer.

MS techs are working on this and we just need to calm ourselves rather than bawling that service is down.

 

There is an ongoing issue with Xbox Live in which some people cannot sign in. I would check
Xbox Live Service Status | Xbox Live Service Outage every 30 minutes for updates regarding the status of Xbox Live until the issue is resolved. I understand why you feel upset over this
issue as I cannot sign into my gamertag on my Xbox One right now due to this issue.

 

Don't know why i continue posting these because no one from Xbox even reads what i post anyway. Well it's always worth a shot i guess.

 

I've been contemplating a move to the PS4 for about a month, ever since the blu-ray drive on my unit started going belly up. This is just more icing on that cake. The trick is, I have to have it fixed before it'll be worth anything in trade value.

I got burned on the RROD on the 360. Twice. Enough is enough. I guess I just felt some sort of misguided loyalty to Microsoft for some odd reason. Not any more.

 

PSN is down right now too. Stop crying.

Go buy a play station anyways. I have both, but it's not better than Live. They are saying Destiny brought down PSN about five hours ago. My Xbox One was fine till about an hour ago. IDK, maybe Microsoft saw what happened to Sony and tried to make changes.

All services have bumps. By going onto forums and dropping pointless threats to switch platforms does nothing.

I didn't know that PSN was down too. But My major complaint is that we should still be able to play our games offline. It's not fair that all of us have to wait till the servers get fix just to play even a single player game. It's sad that it just becomes
a $500 Cable box. I could go on and on about everything i dislike about this console but it would take to long. I would say another thing too. I wish i was able to stream my movies and music to this console like i did with the 360. I have a Windows 7 pc with
Windows Media Center. It's like they are forcing me to get a Crappy Windows 8 pc to do that. It's just crazy. I figured Xbox was a well built company with high standards. Seems they lost what true gaming is all about. I miss most of the things for the 360.
It was a great console just didn't have the power needed for todays games. This console has the power it just lacks the proper interface and Quality servers. I mean it's pretty bad that i can't use anything from my 360 on this console other then my Turtle
Beaches. But that didn't even work right because i had to spend another $25 on a adapter.

I'm sorry Xbox for thinking better of you. You have really let me down as a huge fan and customer. All i can say is you should really try harder of keeping your biggest customers because it's not looking so good right now on this forum. You should read and
take notes from the community to improve this console. One of the funniest things i noticed when i got this console i couldn't stop laughing. Is you can't even have a background much less even a custom color for your dashboard. Just plain old colors. Whatever
I'm done ranting. It's been 2+ hours since i was last online to play a game. I don't know how much longer i can last offline. Hope it gets fixed soon or it's time to think about another choice of gaming consoles.

As time moves on I'm sure they will give us options for our dashboards and all that custom stuff. They don't have that now because that kind of stuff is on the back burner compared to other important things (i.e. releasing the console as early as the competitor,
staying competitive in pricing, getting all the basic functions to work in time for release, etc. etc. etc...). Thing is, I get the feeling that both consoles were released before they were actually truly ready. There's a lot of new functions they tied together
in one machine and testing them all in the real world is going to yield much different results than projected theories. I do a little programming on the side, and this is usually how it goes. You cram all your functions in as fast as possible to meet a deadline,
do a couple beta tests in a controlled environment, then put the product out and spend the next year working out the bugs.

Honestly, everyone is going to be continually dealing with updates, changes, and bugs for awhile yet to come. Don't get me wrong, though, I do think that Microsoft should compensate us all with something for investing all the time and money thus far. We'll
see how good their business practices are. Lets hope they can take this as an opportunity to set an example for the competition in customer service.
