looking to prioritize one Xbox over another

I have a Xbox one which I play online, and some one else has a Xbox 360 where the only online they do is Netflix. I have already solved the bandwidth issues, but when I sign in after they do I will have a strict NAT, but if I sign in first I will have an
open NAT. is there a way to always give my Xbox the open NAT regardless of the sign in order, or do I have to kick them off every time to get an open NAT.

Most routers allow you to prioritize one device over all others, might be worth looking into.

 

Cant connect to Xbox Live

The Xbox consoles and PS4 require different ports to be opened. Since the Xbox One and the 360 require the same ports to be open, some routers cannot handle that and only prioritize one of the consoles over the other.

 

You have to set up portforwarding or put one of the consoles in DMZ.

 

The ONLY thing you can do is:

use UPnP If it's implemented the right way in your Router both Devices should have open NAT.

Be sure you use the latest Firmware for your router.

 

my console is set up as the DMZ host and I still have this issue, and using UPnP has no effect on the number of consoles. first one is open the rest will be strict. as far as the latest firmware I have no idea if it is or how to check if the router i have

There are no reasonable answer to your request, since NAT's differ from each other in quite fundamental ways. Features that works across one NAT may not work at all for another class of NAT. You will simply have to try and error your way through your NAT's
different features.

You could try and manually forwarding network ports used by the Xbox One, along with UPnP disabled. UPnP tend to overwrite static NAT.

The Xbox One behave a bit differently than the Xbox 360, in the process of binding port 3074, where you will find the Xbox 360 to be less restrictive, in comparison to the Xbox One, reagarding fall back ports.

A possible solution, if it works, is to try and force the Xbox One to delete the existing PortMapping, and request it for itself.

Go to Xbox One Network settings and perform a Multiplayer Connection Test. When finished, press LT/RT/LB/RB combination for detailed statistics.
