Looking for help setting my Xbox as the "Xbox Home"

Hello once again.

Last time for a while (I hope).

I've received a new Xbox, and want to swap it out with my old one, but I'm wary of the process. Before I do it, can someone confirm this is the right process? I don't want to hit the 5 switch limit simply because I mess this up.

Current status:

HARDWARE + PROFILES

XBOX One - Adult, Kids - Set as Home Xbox

XBOX X (a) - Adult, Kids

(new) XBOX X (b) - I've put both profiles on, but have yet to set as Home Xbox. Currently the Adult profile seems to work ok for all games, but the Kids profile gives me the "you don't own this" error.

With that being said, do I switch following this order?

XBOX One - log in under Adult Profile

XBOX One - deselect/turn off Home Xbox

XBOX X (b) - turn on, log in under Adult Profile

XBOX X (b) - set to Home Xbox

Keep in mind the kids can only play on the series x if that's set to your home unless you have disk games than as long as it's in the drive they can play but they cant use your gold on their profile

If your son is to keep using the Xbox One S, then I suggest making sure the console is set as the home console using your account. That way he will continue to play the games, and you will be able to play on the Xbox Series X. For info on the home Xbox
