    Looking for great open world games


    Hi there

    I bought my Xbox One S on the "advantages" over the PS4 like backward compatibility for 360 games.

    I like open world and action RPG games and when I had my old PS3 I started missing on the "exclusives" like The Last of Us or similar to The Witcher or Dragon Age where I don't need the previous games to "know" the storyline.

    I'm looking for something quite similar to Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor type of games.

    Any suggestions, comments & thoughts please.

    Games for older players

    Change of plan .... started playing Far Cry 4 instead of AC Unity. Great game, exactly what I was looking for. Vast beautiful open world & lots of different things to do.

    First Borderlands 2 Review Surfaces

    Rage started off great but when downhill rapidly, have to say its a stunning looking game, but they have this great open world and they just slapped a corridor shooter in it, so much wasted potential.

    As for Borderlands 2, we dont even need reviews, will be amazing.

    Any good Arcade Racing recommendations for Xbox One?

    The Forza Horizon games are great arcade open world racing games. FH3 and FH4 look stunning and there is so much fun to be had.

    Killzone looks amazing, grant it that. But by god is it boring after the initial wow and its not really open world....... As for Dead Rising, yeah its open world but it doesn't look that great and has slow down and that's not really something i think most
    gamers want in games. Course they should improve the graphics and add more into the landscape and what not but making games but i would rather have a less then stellar looking game and some amazing world rather then something that looks amazing and a rubbish
    world.

    Watchdogs confirmed for May 27

    Definitely looks like the graphics took a bit of a hit from the E3 stuff, but it still looks pretty great. I usually don't expect open-world games to have that great of graphics comparatively, but this is looking pretty sweet. Still looking forward to it.

    Just Cause 3

    Just Cause 1 & 2 were some of the best open world games I've played. Looked great, played great, what gaming was all about, just OTT fun.

    Have very high hopes for this one!
