Looking for good HDMI Splitter so I can use my Xbox One on my tv and on my pc.

    Hi,

I had posted this a few days ago but doing a little research I have a couple more questions. I am looking for a splitter so that basically I can watch blu rays on my tv and then game on my pc. I have heard with some splitters you will lose some audio quality
or it will it won't be in sync. Also, will I be able to get sound on whichever monitor I am using? I also read that some splitters require both monitors to be on and on the same input in order for it to display. Basically what I want/need it to do... If
I am using my pc, be able to play and with sound(watch tv on my tv not through the xbox). If I, or someone else is watching a blu-ray or maybe even gaming on the tv, be able to use my computer like normal. If you have any recommendations please link them
or list the name. I live in the US so please use US sites or models.

Thank you, this community usually gives me the answer I am looking for, so thanks in advance.

    :)

  2. Will Connecting Xbox One To TV and Cable Box Work Via HDMI Splitter?

I only have 1 HDMI port on my DishTv Cable Box, it's what I use to connect it to my TV. To watch TV on my Xbox I have to run an HDMI cord from Xbox to the cable box but I only have 1 HDMI port which is occupied by my TV. So will connecting my cable box to
a HDMI splitter then having both my TV and Xbox to the other end of the splitter work?

Honestly check out amazon. Low low prices for a good product. Also many reviews on there so give it look.

  5. yeah, it will work but only one will be active at a time and you need two hdmi cable connector. If you want both active at a time then you have to 1x2 HDMI splitter. I recommend to check here

I only want one active at a time. I have heard some aren't as good as others, whether that be sound quality, picture quality, etc. I just don't want to go buy some cheap one that doesn't do what I want it to do. Basically I want the blu rays to look like
I was not using a splitter, which I think they will, and the xbox to look like it should on the pc. Any brands to look for? Some are like 20 bucks and some are like a hundred bucks. I have no clue what I'm looking for on this other than a 1 in 2 out hdmi
    splitter.

what ever you do.. DO NOT BUY this one..

    www.amazon.com/.../ref=sr_1_8

You need a powered HDMI splitter... a good one I have used, with no loss of signal or sound... is this one...

    www.amazon.com/.../ref=sr_1_2

now about your questions... if you use the HDMI in tv thingy for the XB1.. you will need to use the XB1 for any and all TV viewing (if your cable is hooked up) ..NOW... if you want to just watch Blu ray using your XB1... have your cable hooked up without
the XB1 and use it normally... Then you can then split output of the HDMI after the XB1 and use another input for your TV (HDMI2) and just switch the inputs on your TV when you want to watch a movie...and use the 2nd split to your monitor... this way.. you
can play XB1 on your "PC" and have someone one watch TV without any interference... just remember... DO NOT GO CHEAP.... you will need good quality wires, not the generic ones

  10. I have one of these and I think this is exactly what you need. Ibis 1x2 HDMI Switch by Sewell SW-8876

For example. I have my PS3 running through his switch. When I hit the button it goes to my smaller 21" HDTV. Then when I click the button again it goes to my 40" 3d HDTV. Yes this switch relays 3d images and even the audio. Hopefully this is what you
    need.

@tohellnbak... Well I sold my PS3(probably a mistake) and my 360 so that I could afford an Xbox One to answer why. I just assumed since it had a blu-ray player that it would be fine for blu rays. I would rather use my xbox one as my blu-ray player so
I don't have to buy a new one. I do not use my xbox one to watch tv. I have my cable running directly into the tv. I have the xbox one, or had, running to another input in the back of the tv. I don't use my Xbox One for anything other than gaming. And
when I watch a blu-ray in my room, for that as well. I switched over to a pc monitor for gaming because I actually like the 24 inch compared to the 40 inch tv. I'm assuming I have the hdmi running out of the Xbox into the splitters in, from there I run one
from the out to the pc monitor and the other out to the tv, correct? Your post kind of confused me in this regard but I think that is what you were referring to which is my current setup. Camaroboy, don't I need a splitter and not just a switch?

@tohellnbak again. I looked at the Splitter you recommended. The viewHD one. I'm not super tech savvy(if you couldn't tell). That one is HDMI 1.3. What exactly is HDMI 1.3? Will my old HDMI cables still work on this? I would rather spend 35 dollars
on a splitter vs. 100+ on another blu ray player.

  13. Looking for good HDMI Splitter so I can use my Xbox One on my tv and on my pc.

The Sewell SW-8876 switch I recommended should work perfect for you. You will need 3 HDMI wires.

    1. You run 1 HDMI wire from your X1 into the HDMI switch "IN".

    2. Run another HDMI wire from the HDMI switch "(1) OUT" to your 24" TV.

    3. Run the final HDMI wire from the other HDMI switch "(2) OUT" to your 40" TV.

Its seriously the exact same setup I am using but I have my PS3 setup like this where you are using the X1. Exact same setup. In fact my tv sizes are almost identical. lol

Will a splitter work the same way without have to hit a switch? I have all of my wires hidden and I would prefer something that I don't have to hit a button. If I had a splitter or something where I did not have to hit a button so I could hide everything
behind my tv stand that would be preferable. I called Best Buy and the guy had no idea what to recommend. He said switch as well but I would rather have something where if my xbox is on and I go to my pc monitor and change the input it works. If I'm laying
in bed and turn my xbox on and go to that input to watch a blu ray it just works. I know it isn't that big of a deal to get up and hit a switch but that's not really what I'm looking for.
