Looking for gaymers to play titanfall with

Yeah i dont get it, thats why this thread seems fishy too

im new to xbox one and need to add ppl that play titanfalls as its my only game until better comes out, so if u want to add me plz

 

....am I the only person who thinks Pepsi tastes a little better than Coke?....had a Doctor in Louisiana once prescribe Coke for a minor stomach ailment and it worked

The comments to this thread are almost as ridiculous as the need to have the thread itself. OP was not "seeking" anything other than a "live and let live" group of people to play online with. When you're playing with randoms that happen to be placed in your
lobby, any "chat" usually centers around ONLY the game because you're never going to talk to these people again. When you add someone to your friends list to play co-op with and you play with them regularly, even if you never meet or intend to meet, conversation
about your personal life inevitably comes up, even if only in passing. So APOCACIDE, that's how someone would know his "orientation" even if they were not able to discern a guess based on mannerisms. "Hold on my girlfriend/boyfriend is calling" "sorry I was
talking to my girlfriend/boyfriend" etc. etc. It's annoying enough running into people that use derogatory epithets so casually in match lobbies (whether they are misogynistic, homophobic, racist, etc.). It is even more annoying, or even hurtful (I imagine,
since it's never happened to me) adding someone to your friends list only to have them call you a "f*g" when, as a male player, you happen to say something like "sorry my boyfriend was talking."

OP is trying to avoid the awkward and uncomfortable situation (for both parties) of getting some backwoods bigot on his friends list, that's all. Anyways, who cares? Even if you want to jump to the conclusion that he's trying to run some Craigslist Casual
Encounters type post on the Xbox forums (seriously, what the hell?) why not just give the benefit of the doubt and ignore it?

OP (and anyone else for that matter, as long as you're not a jerk) feel free to add me. Have been playing Titanfall quite a bit lately; Usually online evenings and weekends, east coast time.

UneasyJmitchell: Unfortunately some people do care what other people do in their bedroom. Luckily they are a rapidly dying breed and, for those of us that live in large urban centers, basically extinct.

Errmmm, i thought the online universe almost had no true stereotypes, sexless, creedless, raceless... just peeps wanting to play, all of them GAMERS.

It does sound like you are trying to differentiate yourself, in which case you may find yourself in an uncomfortable position (ahem).

I don't think people should be condemning the OP because he's looking for "gaymers" to play games with. You don't know what experience he's had online and how he's been insulted. I'm sure he'd rather just play games with anyone, straight or gay, but clearly
his online experience has affected that.

It's easy to sit back and say "hey, I don't identify as a straight gamer and if I asked for straight gamers to play games with, people would think I'm homophobic" or whatever, but that's completely missing the point. Straight people aren't condemned for
their sexuality. They don't have people who would be willing to beat them up just because of the consenting adult they choose to have a relationship with. They don't have people (including their own parents sometimes) telling them that they'll go to Hell because
of who they are and what they've done. Then there's all the online insults, made largely by people hiding behind anonymity. So yeah, try not to be judgemental.

 

Whoa, just trying to have a laugh and break the ice... Loads of my friends on here are gay or bi. Hell ALL of them have no problem with their sexuallity and neither do I.

Most of them are the FIRST to joke about it and it eases any newcomers tension straight away!! Maybe you should get out of the dark ages assuming the worst before you jump the gun.

To the OP if i insulted you i do apologise, but if you need any gay ONLY friends to play with lemme know, i am straight but i can reassure you i can hit you up with about 5 friends who would welcome your company.

Talking to your friends is not the same as talking to strangers. You know where the boundaries lie with your friends. You know what insults them and what doesn't. Coming into a thread where someone has said he's fed up with people insulting him cos he's
gay and making jokes about "uncomfortable positions" (it's obvious what that implies) and him "hitting you up" is not really an appropriate thing to do. If you can't see that, well, I dunno what else to say.
