Looking for a Forum from Dragon's Dogma Xbox 360

So with Dragon's Dogma now released as the anniversary addition (don't know if its on xbox I got it on ps4) what happened to the Dragon's Dogma Forum from the Xbox 360?

I'd wait for reviews on Dragon's Dogma and then make your decision. Witcher 2's got the pedigree behind it but who knows about Dragon's Dogma? Hell TW2 on 360 could turn out to be a technical mess and Dragon's Dogma a bit duff.

They had a clear out a while ago so my guess is that that forum was one of the victims.

Tempted to get this again,it's just whether I can put up with the npc's/companions constantly repeating everything they say every 2 minutes.

If a forum hasn't been posted to in years and nobody has even looking in it for a similar amount of time, doesn't it kind of make sense to get rid of it?

Not sure if this option was available last-gen, but here's an early heads up regarding the quality of the port. After purchasing my PS4 Pro in September, and subsequently completing Uncharted Lost Legacy, The Last of Us and Drake's Fortune in a whirlwind
of new game-itis, I decided to check in with the FULL SCREEN version of DD: Dark Arisen. The biggest bugbear I had with 360-era Dark Arisen were the *borders*... I can't even... But I've just spent the best part of two hours crafting my 'Dark Arisen', the
new-gen equivalent to Skyrim on a shoestring. But here's the thing: it's like an Elder Scrolls Oblivion moment, when you've completed the tutorial, built your fantasy figure from the ground up and emerged into the blinking daylight of Cassidia. WOW!!!!!!

This is deep. This is cutscene heaven and I *totally* got her right! My Dragon's Dogma cipher. She had me from the moment I was tasked to go talk to people. Prolly a spoiler, but there's a YouTube vid out there that says you should probably sell that Monocle
thingy that's part and parcel of your Dark Arisen package. I'm only TEN MINUTES into story mode, and already decided to forego my 'Brutal' run of Drake's Fortune because Dragon's Dogma is bringing the FEELS <3

Apparently, the PS4 Pro version runs @1440p. Okay, that's nice and all, but I'm perfectly happy with 1080p30 on Xbox One. Nathan Drake might've been a barrel of fun, but 60fps had him (or Elena Fisher, who I'd unlocked after finding 40 treasures) skittering
about like a meerkat on speed. Dogma @30fps is my kind of laid-back... it's the *vision* I had of a perfect roleplayer on 360. BUT WITHOUT THE BORDERS! Capcom done good! Honestly, this is a triple-A title that's flying under the radar. So many games, so little
time

That has to be one of the best additions to a game ever

 

Not so much disabled as MUTED ^.^ I'm playing with subtitles on, and you're still getting a constant stream of glib comments on your travels, so you're not entirely free of the small talk (sigh). 'Course there's probably an option to turn off subtitles too,
so theoretically you could travel in silence, but where's the fun in that?

Also, I incorrectly called out the Arisen's hometown - it's CASSARDIS (not Cassidia). Sorry about that, but after wading through a compendium of some 3,000 names before deciding upon the 'one' for my player, it's not hard to get caught up on trivialities.
Also, not having played Dragon's Dogma for something like FIVE YEARS (!), I'd also forgotten how intricate the worldbuilding and characterizations were. This is probably the *only* RPG where you can plough some twenty hours of hard graft into fumbling your
way through the basics only to then decide that you're GONNA RESTART! :O

That's right. I'm not at all happy with my "pawn" (for newbies, this is your AI partner that is sent out into the online world when you're not playing the game, and otherwise becomes your constant companion). As stated above, DD: DA is a roleplayer - with
larger than life FANTASY figures that can actually inspire new ways of playing! Since my character is a strider (aka ranger), and you can form a party of three other pawns, I like to travel with two mages and a tank. So, my current pawn is just a carbon-copy
of myself, and her personality SUCKS -_- So it's back to the drawing board because nestled somewhere amongst those 3,000 starting names was "Duke", and Imma gonna roll a preposterous DUKE NUKEM clone because that's gonna keep me interested in the long term


I should also reiterate how important it is to SELL THE RUMINATOR'S MONOCLE asap, because you can fetch a cool 312k for it in Cassardis!! That's a ton of money that you will definitely need for supplies and gear when starting out. Also it's hard to believe
that I'm making these rookie mistakes after having played the game before, but you *really* need to get into the habit of manually saving your game at regular intervals. There are checkpoints, but these are few and far between, and once you die should hit
RETRY (which will reload your most recent save instead of a distant checkpoint). One last thing: before spending too much time doing fetch quests or other exploratory things when you arrive at Cassardis, just make a BEELINE for the encampment (you're meant
to escort Rook, a pawn). Because *this* is when you must create your own pawn and it can be a timesink (especially if you don't get it right).

I started playing this on the 360 years ago, but stopped. I don’t remember why. I need to play it again because I love these types of games. I’m just not sure when. I still have so many games to play. Still, I’m getting because it’s only €30.

Does anything look upgraded in regards to graphics? What is better about this version compared to last gen other than the additional content?

Sames ^.^ IIRC, it's because if you're not leveled up enough you can reach an impasse or difficulty spike which sucks all enjoyment out of the game! The additional content adds Bitterblack Isle (not sure if I've spelled it right becuz I haven't traveled
there yet) and this is your true 'endgame' or hardcore Dark Souls-ish despatch of pleasure and pain (mostly pain, but it's where the best loot drops happen).

I mentioned earlier that it's a rock solid 1080p30 and there's absolutely *no* borders this time Thought I was bedazzled by the Nathan Drake collection as it too is running in HD-o-vision, but bearing in mind that vanilla Drake's Fortune came out in 2007
and Dogma came out five years later, it stands to reason that Dogma's mechanics are a little more refined. The reason I'm comparing the two is because it's an EITHER/OR situation - in as much as I can't play them both at the same time :/ However, DD: Dark
Arisen wins because you can play the game vicariously... character tweaks and unique outfits will ALWAYS look better than a predefined hero

Plus, there's the whole journeyman thing of traveling in a party of four!
