    when I connect my xbox controller it dosen't give me much time to connect I hold the xbox button and sync but just a few secs later it disconnects oh and this is on my pc I should have said that

    Is it working now?

    If not yet, kindly remove the device by going to your settings then bluetooth, after that reconnect your controller.

    actually before I just needed more time to start but now I never hold the button but it says there is a controller

    Thanks for the update! Make sure that your PC is up to date by following the steps below:

    Settings > Updates & Security > Check for updates.

    If that still didn’t work and you have an Xbox Wireless Adapter, kindly try to connect the controller from there.

    Got it. To check if it’s the controller or your PC, if you have a different device where you can test the controller that would be great. It can be another PC, Laptop, Xbox, or mobile devices.

    If you can also try a different controller on your PC that would be great in that way we can isolate what is causing the issue.
