Long update time

Discus and support Long update time in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Anyone else getting a long download time for the update?     Anyone else getting a long download time for the update? It started fast but at 20% it slowed down and now 4 hours later a 1GB D/L is only 60% done.

    What kind of speed test results do you get if you go to settings > network > Detailed Statistics?

    Its possible these updates are just larger than what you get on a Wii U, and take longer as a result.

    Long install and update times

    Hi there everyone. Whenever I get a console update or a new game, the install time is outrageous. They usually take upwards of 2 hours and I often hear of people whom only need to wait for a few minutes. I'm wondering if this is an issue with my internet
    or the console as my Wii U console is the same distance from the router as the Xbox one and yet it doesn't not suffer any similar issues.

    If your router is close to your system it will help to plug it directly in instead of trying to go over wifi. Some of the games are pretty large.

    Hello Code,

    Try these steps:

    • Cancel your download
    • Press and hold the illuminated Xbox logo on the face of the console for 8 seconds. This shuts the console completely off.
    • After 60 seconds, press the logo to turn the console back on.
    • Attempt to re-download your updates.
    This clears the System Cache and all the clutter that may or may not have built up in your memory.
