  1. Long time Xbox Live'r

Been on it since 2001'ish and I loved loved the xbox and the games on the platform. I'm in my mid 30s and would play hours at a time with people all around the country in my friends list everyday and had a fracking blast everytime. But towards the end
of the xbox cycle it got less and less but still always had guys on my friend list to play with any night. Fast forward to the Xbone and I play it maybe once a month if that.

The games are just non existent or am I'm just getting old? I only play online games like COD, BF or GTA.

I used to also like to play some xbox arcade games but I can't find them on the xbone menu. Is it possible to go back to the original Xbox user interface and live menu but just a beefed up console? I feel the Xbox has left gaming and gone to media which
other devices are better and cheaper at.

    :)

  2. Long long time Xbox Gamer!!!

Did anyone else get the Jet Set Radio/Sega GT 2002 Bundle? Mine is still working 14 years later. So many good times and so much 3rd party support including Japan.

You're getting old. There are more games than the 3 you listed. Try stepping out of your comfort zone and play titles you normally wouldn't play.

To lazy to edit my post above, there are no "arcade" games on Xbox One, just games. They dropped the arcade label. But they are there.

Not to sound petty, but no one over the age of 12 refers to it as the "xbone".

  7. Thank you nogga for covering that part so i don't have to.

@PipelinOperator..you got the years i'll give you that now you just have to open up and expand your gaming preferences. CoD, BF and GTAV are great but old news. For multiplayer i head to Titanfall first everytime and BF4 second as Titanfall is everybit that
good and addicting..for singleplayer i would recommend Dragon Age:Inquisition, AC games, WatchDogs, Halo etc.

My Xbox One has been nothing but a gaming machine and no media except Twitch but that is to check out games everything else is left to the 360. I absolutely laugh when i hear the Xbox One is not a gaming machine as that is totally false and nothing but fanboy
nonsense..it's def a gaming machine with the option of media stuff..pretty much the same set up as 360.

The arcade part is the only part really lacking but again so was 360 until it gradually built them up..it's still early in the new gen life and have no doubts that will grow as it gets older.

I think there are a number of factors. Like others said, maybe try adding some more games to your list.

But on our Dads of Gaming site, back in the CoD2/3 days, there weren't a ton of other popular MP games, so we were always playing CoD2/3 together. Then CoD:MW came a long and introduced a leveling system, then people gravitated towards leveling rather than
playing private matches. Then other good MP games started coming out, so instead of our group being concentrated on 1 to 2 games were were spread across several. We've also grown older as a group, family and kids have grown, so there more time away from gaming.

Anyhow, I don't think there's any one factor that contributed to it, but over the years we've found it more and more difficult to get the groups together like we used to have. Destiny seems to be the big MP game as of late. We have a lot of DoGs playing
    it on the X1.

  12. If all you're playing is multiplayer blockbusters, maybe you should widen your horizons a bit. Check out the ID@Xbox section, there are some great indie arcade-style games in there.

I've really enjoyed The Golf Club (although it's not for everyone), and Pinball FX2 lets you re-download any tables you previously bought for 360. There are also a bunch of episodic games in there, and I'm looking forward to trying The Escapists. There's
a lot more to Xbox that AAA shooters.

Op I would suggest you just take $20 if not $30 and buy a new/used game outside your comfort range. I recently pick up AC unity for under $30 (really less than that due gift card). I have picked up Mass Effect used which got me into the ME games. So just
    blow some dough.

Just wondering but do you have another GT? I only ask because you claim to have been on XBL since 2001'ish and love games but don't even have 10,000 gamerscore.

aircobra if he plays online the majority of the time, most achievements are usually in the story mode of a game.
