Long-time Xbox Dashboard Preview member needs update on new console

So I recently traded in my old Xbox for the new Halo 5 console and as someone who has been in the preview program since Day One, I was really hoping to keep my status as a preview member through a transition like this to a new console. I talked to a support
agent to see if that would help but he instead directed me here to see if one of the Moderators here could get an update my way on the new console or something to that effect.

To specify the update I was looking for; I was in the New Xbox One Experience portion of the Preview Program and hopefully I could either get the update again or at least gain access to re-enroll my new Xbox back into the program.

New dashboard won't launch games

What new dashboard? Is there an update or are you a preview member?

 

3.7GB update for Xbox One?

I got this pretty big update when turning on my XB1, whats it for? I'm a preview member and have had the new dashboard for a few weeks now.

 

I believe that you just have to download the Preview app on your new console and register the console, which can take up to 72 hours. At that point, I'm not sure if you have to opt-in again for the NXOE update.

In the future, you'll want to post all preview related questions in the preview forums (forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx)

 

Duly noted, the support agent sent me here for some reason, I normally do post in the preview forums anyhow. I figured the agent knew something I didn't so I posted here anyway. Thanks for the help though, I've finally figured it out.
