It's a price that we all pay for being an early adopter. The thing is, MS as well as other companies come up with new deals to attract more customers to their products, so yes it may seem unfair to those of us that have already purchased the items, the companies
need to make sales, and many of these deals are a "spend money to make money" type of deal. MS is trying to move the XB1 to more customers, and get people that have been holding out on buying and XB1 to get one.

Here's a fun thought - what if, as a gold member, we all got a free game of our choice once each year to celebrate one more year as a gold member? I think that alone would attract a lot of new members, but I question whether it would be profitable for MS,
the publishers, and the developers. What do you guys think?

    @GG

That would be ok but it would still have to be an older game. But I would love to choose a free game.

  6. Hello "Galactic Geek" Long Time Customers & Day One buyers don't qualify for Promos :)

That would be financially disasterous for Microsoft to do (give every single Gold Member a free game of their choice at the end of the year), but it would be cool if it actually did happend Long Time Customers & Day One buyers don't qualify for Promos :)

Also, it wouldn't be much of a lost from the developer because Microsoft would probably have to pay for the actual copy of the game to ensure the survival of whomever the developer was that the player has chosen Long Time Customers & Day One buyers don't qualify for Promos :)

So, I understand people being annoyed because Kinect has been removed, or because the new bundles come for a cheaper price than the Day One Edition. I completely disagree, but I still understand it. But being angry over this current promotion just baffles
me. This is a limited time promotion. The same as a sale. All products go on sale at some point.

So, MS would have to pay the developers for every copy of a game that we'd get for free and hope to make it up with subscription sales. Thanks for straightening that out logically for me, Lei Fang. If that's the case, then they'd effectively pay $60 per
game and get $60 back from subscriptions - since people buy more games than they subscribe, I'm inclined to agree with you; it would be disastrous for them. Still, we can dream. Long Time Customers & Day One buyers don't qualify for Promos ;)

  9. Hello "Galactic Geek" Long Time Customers & Day One buyers don't qualify for Promos :)

Microsoft would have to purchase " whatever " game at its full retail price before giving it to the player to keep the developers happy and reward them for their efforts Long Time Customers & Day One buyers don't qualify for Promos :)

In regards to the $60 subscription, I honestly don't mind paying for the yearly Xbox Live Gold Membership because I see it as a maintenance cost; Xbox Live rules Long Time Customers & Day One buyers don't qualify for Promos :)

    Hello "Z3ROHUNTER" :)

My experience with Microsoft's consoles have been nothing short of extraoridinary :)

I still have my Original Xbox, Xbox 360 and now the Kinectless Xbox One. I have no regrets at all because my gaming experience has been and continues to be amazingly awesome.

I could care less about other people getting a free game of their choice if they decide to pick-up and Xbox One now.

Have a nice day or afternoon or night :)
