Login to Microsoft account using username

Hello, Joseph. I’m afraid to say, but it is not possible to recover an account only with the gamertag.
The only username you can try, is a previously created Skype username.

In this situation, as you said, is more convenient to create a new PSN account, and enable game share on the one that owns Minecraft.

well thats the issue, all these options require knowing your E-mail or number connected with the account. i only have the username im thinking i may make a new psn account and gameshare minecraft to the new account. thank you

Yes, I just have the same Microsoft account. I create a separate email account for them to login into with a different username, but both on the same Microsoft account.

I have found a fix for this for my 2 kids switches. Apparently when you create an account with microsoft and use it to log into minecraft it creates an xbox account for you and assigns a auto generated username. All i had to do wasgo to xbox website on
my comp and login using the microsoft login info. Once it logged into the account i went under settings and changed the gamer tag.
