Login now needs password everytime

After the last update around 2 weeks ago, I have to enter my password everytime I select my profile to log in. This was not the case before the update. I also don't use Kinect.

Is there a way for the X1 to save the password?

Hi, I have a frustrating issue, well there are many issues at the moment with the xbox one but this one is frustrating me the most..

Everytime i turn on my Xbox it says "Hello Karl" then says "goodbye Karl" and then says "use controller to log in" and i have to enter my password every time even though i have set it to "Save Password".

I shut my xbox down every time i'm not using it(hold xbox button and select shut down) but the system is set to always stay on in sleep mode or whatever it is and i dont turn off the power outlet.

It has done this since day one.

G'day Cryo! Thanks for posting here. Let's try the following steps to save your profile's password for sign-in:

1. Sign in on your console, then navigate to your Settings.
2. Select "Sign-in, Security, & passkey."
3. Select "Change your sign-in & security preferences."
4. Select "Customize sign-in & security."

The option to save your password is in the first box. More settings can be adjusted on that screen too, to customize your Kinect sign-in settings and set up a Passkey for extra protection, if you'd like.

If your profile still requires a password after adjusting those settings, try removing your profile from the console,

power cycle, and then download your profile fresh. This won't delete any of your game saves; those are safe on the cloud.
