    Login issue for Xbox app.


    Its getting really hard logging into Xbox app.

    I keep getting an error 0x87DD0005. (Screenshot attached).

    Even when you manage to log in to the app, it does not connect automatically to a game. We have to do it manually. Even then sometimes the same error comes up in game too.

    Have tried resting the app & the game too. Have reinstalled the game once too.

    That was really helpful. Still happens once or twice a day but I'll take that over the alternative.

    I'm Samy an independent advisor. Welcome to the Xbox community. How are you?

    I am also getting this error message when I try to log into some games. Keep pressing the login button.
    Also, check that these services are running.

    Press the Windows Button then type Services.
    Right-click over the Services App from the list of results.
    Then select Run as Administrator
    Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:
    IP Helper
    Xbox Live Auth Manager,
    Xbox Live Game Save,
    Xbox Live Networking Service,
    Gaming Services,
    Gaming Services.
    Do this with each of the services listed above.
    Right-click over the service and select Properties.
    Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic.
    If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services.

    Click Apply and OK to save changes and try again.

    Just thought I'd post an update too.

    Reverting back to the old app (Xbox Console Companion) works too.
