Logging into Xbox Live

I was able to update one person's membership via Xbox 360 and they logged on with no problem. Another person, would not recognize it and had to update membership on Xbox.com. Updated and in good standing. However, on status on the website it says offline
and we cannot log into Xbox live on the 360. He has had a previrus account. Why is this happening?

Logging into xbox live

I am having a problem signing into Xbox live. My brother and I each have a gamertag on one Microsoft account and whenever I try to sign in, a security check pops up. I enter my account info and I get an error message saying it's the wrong info, even though
I just today verified my info. I can also log into the Microsoft account on the computer. It really is frustrating and really need help.

did the person run out of (gold) membership ? if so they would have to renew the membership back to gold . other then that they cant play online with you with gold, them in silver, un less you and your buddy was doing a system link ,

made another profile. Same behavior, IF game disc in drive profile logs in but not to xbox live IF no game disc in drive profile logs in and logs into live.

I have 2 xbox ones and can play and log into xbox live on the 360 side of things just fine, so it' not a router setting. However, if I try to log into my most used xbox gamertag and play gears 2 on the other xbox one, it tells me that it cannot log into
xbox live and to download the gamertag again...I have done this a number of times and still no log into live on the 360 emulated side...I can log into xbox live on my xbox one no problem though.

So I logged onto my 360 and it logged me straight into live - I then turned that off and logged back on the xbox one and it now logs me into live - I messaged a friend in the US who says this happens to him regularly - to fix the no Xbox live he logs out
of his profile and back in - good grief - hope it helps someone

Hello,

It means you already have a Xbox Account associated to your Email you put in for your new account. Try using another email. Or change the email address of the account associated with the Email you are trying to use.
