Logging into xbox live for child

My son has had xbox for a few months but not xbox live. . I got him a gold card member... when we tried to activate it, it said a parent had to sign in.. so i created an account and activated the card.. how do i get my sons profile on to my account

Logging into child account

I had the same problem. After talking with a tech support rep. I had to log into my sons account on xbox.com. it immediately prompted my child to have an adult log into there account. there was a link at the bottom that took me back to the log in page.
i had to log into my account then it asked me to verify that i am an adult by entering my credit card information. It also said it had to charge my account .50 to verify that i am an adult. It says that all proceeds will be donated to charity. This is
very frustrating that xbox would have to charge my account to verify that I am an adult. If all xbox customers have to do this that is roughly 23 million dollars. Seems like a scam to me. Might be time to look at Playstation.

The assumption is going to the account live link and logging into the child account will let you before I try it?

You just need to create a new account and set the birth date of the account holder. The system will automatically detect if that is an adult or child account. Once created add the account on the family member.

Is B the childs home Xbox?

You have to set the childs console as your Home xbox, you can then log out and the child will have access to games and live on that Xbox. You can then login on the other console and play your games and use live. You have to remain signed in on that console,
to allow the child to use it.

No it isnt. everytime my son logs onto xbox live it still says child.

This was Done!
Xbox one X set with child one and child Two
Xbox one S set as Child One and Child two
Auto login is Off on Both Consoles
child on logs in plays game on xbox one x, child two logs in on same game on xbox one s, Child one is logged off of Xbox one x. Child one logs back on Child two is logged off.
this is also not logged off of same game but different games
child one on x playing far cry, child 2 logs in on s and starts red dead, far cry is logged off....
Far Cry is only on the x not the S

Done All the bits on the web, done it all with the Support staff, still got the same problems

there is one thing that NOBODY has covered, in the USA Red Dead is a Different certification. although both kids are UK, red dead is different in the UK and the USA, could this be the problem... nobody knows

that. I would presume those ads disappear when a child account is logged in.
