Logging into Microsoft account on PlayStation

I tried playing minecraft with a buddy of mine the other day. As soon as I open it up it asks met log into my Microsoft account as usual. I try this and go through all the steps online through the remote connect thing to log in. On the Web it says I've logged in successfully. I then look to minecraft and it says I can't log in as the account is already connected and that I should try login with the connected account. This is obviously wrong as I have only ever used this one account for minecraft so it is 100% correct. I tried again and again with the same error. I looked up some solution and all that I could find is that once a ps account is connected to a Microsoft you cannot unlink them. This is very confusing as the account I used was the one that I used before so it can't have been linked to another account. There was also solution for the same problem saying clear saved data on PlayStation for minecraft which I tried and again no luck. I have no idea where to go next and I have more or less accepted that I won't be able to log on that account ever again. Does anyone know of any ways to fix this please?

Unfortunately, after trying mojang I get the exact same automated email explaining a few ways to fix it with it saying that it cannot be unlinked as the main.

"If you are unable to find or login to the correct Microsoft account, please contact Microsoft Support here for further assistance, as we do not have access to their account management systems" this is the only real helpful thing but basically just redirects me back to Microsoft and back to square one.

Hi there Elliott welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Fellow PS user with a similar situation, the bad thing here is that only Sony or Mojang can unlink or link accounts, what is my best advice? To go with Mojang, Sony's support is extremely slow and they can take up to a week to answer back, so give Mojang a go!

Are you trying to log into a Microsoft account in the Playstation network? If so your Microsoft account won't work for the PSN only on the Xbox Network. Hope this helps.
