Logging into epic games with microsoft.

I've only recently had this problem, when i try to login using my Microsoft details on the epic games launcher or there website it comes up with an error message saying "There was an error processing the credentials from the external login system, please
contact support. So that's what i did I contacted epic games' support and got a reply about 8 days after i sent the first email, and i know about whats going on right now in the world, but C'mon 8 days that's quite a long time. So i did some research prior
to this question and found a few threads of The same question being asked back late last year but no one actually had a straight forward answer so that's what i want.

Please if someone knows about this even a little bit of information would be nice.

this is because fortnite is an epic game and therefore uses your epic account linked to the microsoft account, you need to log into epic and change the name there which is free to do.

You would need to contact epic games for that problem but if you log on to epic games through the xbox option on either internet explorer, Microsoft edge, and chrome and see there is an xbox account linked and it not your id suggest that you unlink it and
log in the account you want to log in.

So he's able to log into his Microsoft Account on the console, but when he gets into the game, he can't log into his Epic Account? Is that account able to log in at epicgames.com with his account?

There doesn't seem to be any outage system wide at Epic, so I'm thinking there might be an issue with his Epic Account.
