Log in to Xbox app requires pin on PC

Every time I try and log in on my PC it says I need a pin, which I don't have, and even when I set a pin it still didn't work

Unable to log into Xbox app on friend's computer

Hello,

I have been trying to log into my Xbox app on my friend's computer, however after I enter my password, I am always prompted for a PIN to login. I had not set up a PIN prior to this, so I went ahead and set up a PIN for my account (on my own computer). When
I try to use the PIN to sign in (on my friend's computer), it always ends up being "incorrect". The PIN works fine when logging into my account on my own devices - is there a way to log into my Xbox account on my friend's computer?

Cant login xbox / Windows live app

I am having the same issue, I can log in to the xbox app on my desktop PC running the latest released updates however when I attempt to login on my surface pro 4 I get access denied. I am running the latest preview release (build 14942) so I am assuming
it is something to do with the preview program (either the pin feature of windows hello)

Are you referring to the pin you use to sign into Windows 10? If you open the Xbox app on a mobile device are you prompted to enter a pin or password?

use your relatives pin, the one they use to log into the pc, that is what is required.

I hope I got your question right,...

It gives 6 digit pin, all you need to do is entering new code you want and then head back to the app to sign in. The pin the app asking you about is the same pin you use to log in to your PC/Account (I believe you can click sign in with another way if you
prefer another way to log in.).

I was able to resolve this issue by logging onto my Xbox 360 and deleting pins. They were maxed out at 200. Deleted all pins and now I can pin from anywhere including the console and Xbox app.
