Locked Threads and Reporting

So if I post a question here and a member resorts to name calling and gets the thread locked. Like.......

Do I get to report the user for CoC violations? I mean that's how the community moderation works right? If I don't like what he says or the way he treats me I am allowed report him instead of just accepting that his opinion is different than mine or that
he has a different perspective than me?

Can someone also clarify where I violated ToS for me. I was surprised that the thread was locked despite the less than appropriate reply, after all everyone is entitled to an opinion and a rebuttal right? That's kinda what the thread was about. While the
other user violated the CoC (yup, I have read it) I did not. Also why would you leave the thread up if its so offensive it needs to be locked to prevent further responses?

This thread should be locked from further attention as it shouldn't have gained attention in the first place.
This should have been reported instead of trying to scold the kid.
But he's banned now, so just pretend like this never happened.

 

For what i saw on that posted that you made, first, matters like enforcement are not used here, we always send to enforcement website. Enforcement as their website, and should visit him for getting more information.

Second, you posted like a question and you marked as helpfull, for what I understand you are doing a discussion and not a question, so you should made that post as a discussion and not as a question.

When you post about enforcement (and i explained above) and at same time you marked the ambassador answer like been helpful the thread is locked for preventing more answers, based on the fact that as a reply marked as helpful for the user that make that
question.

I hope that you understand now how it works, and why the thread was locked, not for what you said but based on the rules of community forums.

 

If you feel someone on the forums is violating the CoC or any forum rules, you would report the thread and a forum moderator will check into it. It doesnt work the same as over Live.

Threads do not get locked just because of violations. They can also get locked because they qere already answered. It gets locked instead of removed so if abyone else has the same questions, they can fond the answer.

 

Your thread was locked because you were given the correct response. If you re-post it again you risk action on your forums account. If you have further questions feel free to message me.
