Locked out of minecraft.net account because of Xbox Live servers?

This is what some players are now greeted with, including myself, when trying to log into my account at minecraft.net. Since Microsoft has now migrated Mojang accounts to Microsoft accounts, I am now locked out of my minecraft.net account and can not log in to update any details or to get order history, download launchers etc. Who's idea was this? You should not be locked out from logging into Minecraft Java Edition (which by the way, has NOTHING to do with Xbox or the Xbox Live servers, that is Bedrock edition) after a new acquisition by Microsoft when I purchased this game 10 years ago.

Is there any fix for this at all? This sounds lawsuit worthy...

You can easily check if you have enforcement action on Xbox Live, but there isn't really any logic behind people not being able to log into a totally different platform because of enforcement action on one that has nothing to do with it?

I sent a request to Mojang, but I can't get through to Microsoft Support seeing as the only options I get are waiting in a queue for a phone call, or posting a thread on here.

I can see you did not read or gather the point I was making.

Minecraft Java Edition has NOTHING to do with Xbox Live or it's servers - it never has, and most likely never will seeing as Bedrock is the platform that relies on that side of Microsoft. So then why are people being locked out of their Java Edition accounts for Xbox Live enforcement action? It doesn't make any sense, and can quite literally result in a lawsuit against Microsoft.

Indeed, if you do not have any enforcement actions upon your account, that's odd.

But Microsoft does own all Minecraft's platforms since Microsoft purchased Mojang's in 2014. But, indeed that's odd indeed.

Did you try to reach out to Xbox Support already, or even the Minecraft Help center?

Usually, when that happens is because of an enforcement action by the enforcement team on your account. Did you check if that's the case?

Please, do check the link above, if you see any suspensions or bans there, you can file a case review.

I know, that happened to other players as well, and it's not clear why this happens, I just stated that usually could be due to enforcement actions, but to make sure you would have to contact Xbox support and also, worth checking with mine help center as well. :/

Unfortunately in this community, we can't undo any actions made or even glitches (if that's the case) on any accounts, you would have to report this directly to Xbox Support. :/
