Locked out of Microsoft account

Hey all,

So I have seen some other posts regarding this issue but nothing so far has worked. Here is my issue:

About a year ago or so, Xbox Live made the unfortunate choice of asking me to verify my account with my Microsoft information. I had created the account several years earlier using my email account from college. You can probably see where this is going.
So naturally, I ended up locked out of my Microsoft account. I have tried every option with them, to include filling out the online recovery form several times. The email address has not be active for over two years, so clearly I don't have access to any
of my recent emails, etc... Another thing I believe is hurting me is the fact that my address changed several times in a few years, and I'm not quite sure which one is correct. For all I know, the only accurate info going in is name, birthday, and security
question. I am now at the point where filling out the form returns a "Final Update on your account' response.

Here is the kicker: When I was filling out that form and it was being processed, I would receive one of two emails in response. The first is that not enough accurate information was provided. The second, however, informed me that Microsoft could not deal
with a .edu account. Nowhere in that second email did it say there was too little info. So what I believe is going on is that when I get the email about the .edu account, I have in fact provided enough information, but for some weird reason Microsoft can't
help. Which makes no sense. It is THEIR account. I have called my former institution and no one has ever heard of having to do anything to a Microsoft account.

Basically I'm looking for answers. Has anyone gone through this and can you remember what info you provided for it to count as "enough"? Has anyone talked to someone on the phone who could actually help them with this? I am currently working an email
chain with the escalation agents and am really getting nowhere. Sure I could create a new account but like most other people I have stuff on this one that I would really like to keep. Thanks in advance for the help (hopefully).

Microsoft Account - Locked Out

So I'm locked out of my XBOX LIve account, because my Microsoft Account thinks that somebody is trying to hack into it.
