locked out of gold account

I have locked myself out of the account that I have a gold subscription for as I have forgotten my password and entered it incorrectly too many times. However I am still signed in to that account on my Xbox, so I am able to play online but cannot access
it at all on any other devices. I have tried to reset the password via the email address but cannot fill out the application form with enough detail which allows me to do this as I have no idea what the previous passwords to the account were. Is there a way
in which I can reset the password over the phone? I've tried the chat option but it doesn't let me fill in my first and last name in order to submit the form.

Long story short, my dads email was the email linked to the account for recovery purposes but because he passed away recently I can't use his email to recovery my account as I don't know the password into it, instead I tried to use my own phone number but
that takes 30 days to come into effect, so now I'm locked out of my account with no way of getting back in.

 

Might be worth a shot calling phone support - if you're in the US or Canada the number is 1-800-469-9269. Let me know if you're in another country, and I'll look up the number for your region.

 

If you already filled out the form online and received a negative answer, then yes, you will need to contact support for a CASE to be opened. Just have at hand your console where you usually get connected and also the email you received (the one telling
you the information you entered was not enough) from the form online bcs they will need some info from there
