    Locked Microsoft / Xbox Account


    Hello,

    I'm getting rather frustrated with Microsoft to say the least! - For Months now after the wife losing her phone we're been trying on and off to login to her account. She's had a Xbox Account now for some 20 years, so we are able to succesfully provide years of recovery questions & answers. The only thing we can't o is provide the 2FA / SMS Code, due to lost / Stolen phone.

    The email isn't a issue as it's a personal domain, so I can login to Cpanel etc and change that password whenever I like. But the Microsoft side of it to use her Gamer ID and all the games she might own - Hell No!

    We can provide the

    Name

    Address

    Rough time Created

    Name of Pet Blah blah

    Debit card details on file.

    The Console ID for the last two years, Heck I still have out old Xbox One so I could probably do the last 7 years of Consoles I would guess.

    We've done the reocvery option and it sends us a code to the back up email not a problem, However enter that code and you get the error Session has timed out please try again, as I say I've been trying this for months at this point it doesn't matter if I do it within seconds of the email coming through offers you to enter the new password and then just says Nah just kidding.

    @Gillion666 This mean next free game for this month on Xbox 360 ( Crysis 3 ) is region locked?

    Region locked for Xbox 360 is locked from the account or locked from the console system?

    If Microsoft locked from account, I can migrate account. If Microsoft locked from console system that I use (NTSC-J)

    I will wait for the next free game with no region protection.

    If there is an investigation with your xbox live account, Microsoft locks while the investigation is going on. Until they are done, it will remain locked.

    Hi,

    Sorry about that issue and i can understand your frustation cause i was in the same case few years before for one of my daughters account.

    The thing you try is correct but sometimes with many account on a computer is hard for the system ( Microsoft side ) to know which account is locked even if you put the correct email ( example you are on your Windows 10 account but you put all details about
    the locked one… Cookies and co are in conflict…). So i suggest you to do what i did in the past :

    - Log into Windows 10 with the locked account (its very important)

    - Go to > https://support.microsoft.com/help/...nlock-your-microsoft-account-or-outlook-email
    follow all steps

    You should get an answer within 24-72 hours
