Lock Xbox One Clock/Time Zone

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are interested in learning how you can prevent your son from changing the time zone on the console. The best way to do this is to

apply a passkey to the child's account. The passkey will not allow your son to access the Xbox's settings without it. If the passkey is entered incorrectly multiple times, the console will ask for the password to the child account. You must make sure that
he does not know the password to the account as well as the passkey.

The passkey is also required if the child wants to sign in to the account. That means you will need to enter the passkey every time your son wants to play. Once your son logs out of the account, the passkey will be required to log in again. So your
son will not have access to the account unless you provide it. We hope this information helps damccart78.

Ive already done everything on that page. None of that prevents the child from altering the time zone on the xbox to keep it from locking at a specific time. For example, we live in the central time zone and i have it set to turn off at 11pm. My son just
changes the time zone to mountain which is an hour behind us and now he gets another hour of play.

What about having a password to change anything on the Game system.

There is no easy means to do as you would like. You can set a minor account (Under age 13) and restrict it from altering things as I do with my son, but your account would have to be the parent and they would have very little online ability, which means
to even get a game you would need to log in on your account and acquire it for them then log out again. If your child is bypassing the parental controls in place, it seems to me he or she isnt respecting your rules and if you arent there to monitor the situation,
perhaps the old fashioned way of restricting them from the use of such system until they learn to respect your authority is in order? For that, you need only take the power plug and or controller. Maybe even HDMI cord depending on how smart they are and how
determined they are to get around your rules. Parent before friend my man...coming from a dad of 4 (1 girl 3 boys). No offense intended. We as parents got to take control however we must, within reason, for the betterment of our kids.
