Location of .exe?

    Location of .exe?


    I'm trying to get AutoHotkey to run the app, but I need the path to the .exe. I think I found it:

    C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.XboxApp_15.18.14017.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\XboxApp.exe

    However, if I try to run that, I get an error message saying that it can only be run in the context of an appcontainer

    Can the app be run from the command line? How? Or is there another way that I could run it from AutoHotkey?

    xbox game pass .exe location

    Hi,

    Almost all of the Game Pass titles on PC are installed the WindowsApps folder which will either be located in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps or in the root directory of other drives. This folder is protected and encrypted, even if you take control of the folder from the default 'Trustedinstaller', you still won't have full access to the files within.

    If you're really passionate about this game and wish to mod it then I suggest you buy the version available on Steam as there are no such restrictions there.

    I am having this exact issue, are you on Windows 11?

    The issue is that the EXE file that you're looking for is not saved in this location, infact it might even be on a different drive like mine. Except for some ungodly reason gamepass has NO ability for you to change the directory it looks for the EXE file in.

    I'm assuming at this point my only option is to move the EXE file to this location even though I do not want to.

    Is actually total [mod removed]

    Cannot boot or play any games.
