Local Xbox Party Chat

Does Xbox One support two people on a local Xbox to hear party chat from people on that local xbox.

Example: Two people with headsets, xbox controllers, headset adapters on
one xbox playing a game. there is another friend playing that game from a different xbox. The three of them are in a party while they play the game. Can the people playing on the local xbox hear each other
through the headsets. It sounds dumb because they are sitting next to one another, but with noise cancelling headphones while the game and other chat is going on, it can be hard to hear them.

My solution if i have to: is to buy crappy one ear headsets and just have the chat going through it, while all game sound goes through the TV, Kinda ticks me off since we have all of these nice things and have to resort to buying some cheap **** to fix the
problem. Is there any way to just use the nice headsets?

They won't be able to hear each other is what they're saying because that's how it works being on the same Xbox.

What a great question. I have never run into this myself but yeah if you have a partner or friend playing on the same Xbox both who want to chat, then I suppose this would be a nice feature. I don't think this is supported currently though

Hi Whippy!

As all of the other replies have said, this would not be possible unless using a single microphone to pick up both of you at once. However, as previously mentioned, your friend could use the Xbox companion app to speak to the party!

i think you have to have each profile in the party for the chat to go through the headset through the controller. Otherwise you can route party audio through the TV and if you had a kinect use the speaker from that. Or have the 2nd player join the party

I am unsure as to why it's like this but it's one headset basically for party chat per Xbox. Probably the way the Xbox routes the audio. To be fair most people who are playing couch coop aren't going to use headsets like in your case.
