Local two player sport games on xbox without live membership

There are a lot of games with single player experiences and games that allow Split-Screen local multiplayer without a need for a Gold subscription.

According to the store page, Rocket League should have a local Split Screen option, that doesn't require a Gold membership.

Make sure you or your kid chooses a game mode that allows local split screen play. That way you won't need a Gold membership.

However, if your grandchild wants to play online against multiple other players, a Gold membership is necessary.

Any games downloaded as part of the Games with Gold service require an active Live Gold membership to play them.

Also, an Xbox Live Gold subscription is required to play any multiplayer title across the Xbox family of consoles.

Any games purchased are yours to keep and play without Live Gold as single player/ local split screen co-op titles only.

Guacamelee can have two-player co-op, as well.

Maybe look into some of the sports games like RBI Baseball, Madden & Fifa - I haven't played those, so don't know for sure, but they'd seem like an obvious choice for local multiplayer of some kind.

NOPE only in local can you split screen with four players. If you want to be on xbox live for multi player the most you can have is two.
