Local profile account for kids... what the ***?

So today I tried to set up a local profile account for my kids to play Minecraft Xbox One Edition, and the process is the dumbest thing I have ever seen in existence. It takes forever to do, requires an email account to sign up, then verify, etc... at
the end of it all I gave up because it required parental permission to sign in since they were using school-issued email addresses and god knows what else was left to do after that. Seriously, WTF? I just need a bloody local profile set up so my kids can
have their own when playing Minecraft. Why isn't this process more user friendly and easier to do? On the 360, it took seconds.

Is there any other way to get this done?

I agree, this is annoying, tried to set my kids up with profiles for just dance and they don't have email accounts.

Parental controlled profiles?

Hi there,

I need help to set up a family plan.

I have one LIVE account for me, one local wife account and two local kids accounts.

The goal is to set up the family safety in a way that my 2 parents accounts are able to view 18+ rated contents, but of course not for my 2 child accounts

Is there a way to get this configured? What do I have to do?

When I activate the parental controls and reduce to "teen contents", it appears to be global for the Xbox, regardless which profile (parent or child) is logged in.

So far, I found no way, no manual, no WIKI ...

If there is no kids then what is the issue

Noone but you should be on 'your" profile

If it is friends on your account then create a guest account

OK, here is the scenario. The kids received an xbox for xmas. At the time we had no internet access so couldn't download the existing live profile. They played their games on the xbox local profile. They don't want to lose the progress on their local profile,
but I can't see how to merge the two. I thought by giving them the same name that would be enough, but alas!

Can someone tell me if there is a way to merge a local profile with an online profile, and if so, how do I do it?

The family pack was actually discontinued about a year ago. So now, any account that you want to connect to online play must have a live account. Personally, I like the idea of keeping local/offline profiles for the kids until they get older. At that point,
they can convert the accounts to Live accounts and keep track of the log in info, and you can set up your account as a Parent Account to maintain some control of their activities on their profiles.
