Local Network Minecraft can't be hosted on xbox.

I'm trying to set up a local network game of Minecraft on the xbox, with the xbox hosting the game, and other devices joining in. Annoyingly, it doesn't work, and doesn't really say why.

If I go to the settings for the Minecraft world, I can see the multiplayer options and they are greyed out, with a message about checking the "privacy and safety" setting on xbox.com. I've checked those multiple times, and I can't see anything that would
    stop the xbox sharing.

If I create a world on my android phone, everyone including the xbox can connect to it.

I'd really like to have this hosted by the xbox though.

Just to stress: this is a game on the local network, not going onto the internet. I don't have xbox gold, but it isn't telling me I need that (and I don't think I should either, seeing as mcpe works).

Anyone got any hints as to what I can do?

    :)

DDoS attacks need to be addressed.

DDoS attacks are targeted at the end-user's IP address. This means, Microsoft can't do ANYTHING to stop with DDoS attacks against you, only on their infrastructure. With this being said, you can contact your ISP and local police force and report the person
DDoSing you for internet crimes. Xbox LIVE can't mask IP addresses either. An IP can only be masked if it's on the local network and local network only. Even knowing your home IP's are 192.168.xxx.xxx, the IP on your Xbox is completely different and Microsoft
cannot do anything to mask it.

    extremely poor WiFi connection (360S)

    Okay, Plan B.

Can a computer with a wireless interface connect to the network at the same position, or somewhere within a acceptable range of your xbox?

If so, and if your interface support it, you should set up a hostednetwork to create virtual adapter on the computer that will create a secondary network.

With this network, you can use Internet Connection Sharing to connect your xbox to the internet via the computer's internet connection.

Wi-fiplanet has a good article on how to set this up a hosted network, then turn ICS on:

    www.wi-fiplanet.com/.../How-to-Create-Wireless-Hosted-Networks-in-Windows-7.htm

Although noted as a Win7 guide, the process is exactly the same on 8.x machines

Can't join Lan game on Minecraft

Make sure you are doing the following:

    Multiplayer Options

Minecraft (Bedrock) supports the following multiplayer options:

    • Locally hosted multiplayer world via LAN or Xbox Live
    • Realms
    • Servers (unofficial, third party server software)
Locally hosted multiplayer world via LAN or Xbox Live

Any world can be a locally hosted multiplayer world, and accessible to other
    Minecraft
    players.

To start, create new world or load an existing one. Then, select World Settings (pencil icon)
MultiplayerMultiplayer Game. If all players are on the same local network, you may also toggle on
    Visible to LAN Players.

Other player(s) can join the world by navigating to the Friends tab and selecting the world.

Your friends are not playing Minecraft right now

This is for normal worlds hosted on other devices on my local area network. I've tested hosting worlds on android tablets, android phones, ipads, and a dedicated bedrock server running on my PC. In all cases, the mobile devices are able to connect to other
multiplayer worlds on my LAN, but the XBox shows the "Your friends are not playing Minecraft right now" message despite being able to see the other worlds (as indicated by the count under the friends tab).

    MAC Adress

    Hi!

The MAC (Media Access Control) Address is a unique identifier that is assigned to the network card by the manufacturer. It is used in network architecture to reach hosts and have, in a local network, different network cards, each with there own MAC address
    to identify they.

    Now, what's problem u have?
