Local Multiplayer with Xbox Cloud on TV

Hi,

Does anybody knows when will Xbox on the cloud app on TV start supporting local multiplayer?

I read in different places that some games already support it but I don't think this is the case. I tried it out with a couple of multiplayer games (Halo: The Master Chief Edition, it takes two, plants vs zombies, unravel two) and it doesn't work. I am playing on my Samsung TV via the Xbox app and all the games I open treat both my controllers (connected via bluetooth) as if they were the same controller and not individual ones for each player as I would expect.

And since the app sees both controllers as if they were the same, we can't play multiplayer locally. I am loving Xbox Cloud on my TV, but this is a deal breaker for me as I would love to play with my kids and wife (that's actually one of the goals I had when I bought the Ultimate subscription - to play Xbox on my TV with my family).

Any support would be appreciated. I hope I am just facing some issue.

If indeed that's not supported yet, I would love to hear if Microsoft is taking this into consideration and has plans and an estimated date to add this feature to the Xbox app on the TV together with the Xbox Cloud and the Ultimate pass subscription.

Hello Fabiomolinar, unfortunately the Local Multiplayer is not supported on Xcloud.

However, the ideal in this case would be to use the former Uservoice, that now works on Insider on the Reddit platform to make this recommendation to Microsoft.

I went to this game for cloud multiplayer and I could not play local multiplayer. Is it possible? Are there any games you can play multiplayer in the cloud?

Yes, you can play online multiplayer games, however, local multiplayer is not supported on cloud gaming.

I believe cloud gaming is the list of games that have a 'cloud icon' on the game menu. Is that right? And these games are not supported with local multiplayer.

How can identify online multiplayer games as I do not have a console? Apologies, if the question is inappropriate. Trying to understand how it works.

In GamePass cloud, all controllers control the same player, so local multiplayer is impossible. Odd, since Stadia and GeForceNow supported local multiplayer since day one.

Do you know something new? Mortla Kombat on Xcloud has just come out, it would be fun to play sitting on the couch with friends on the holidays
