    I have done a lot of research on the ability to use two headsets on one xbox one. A large number of discussions have a problem with no ability to use Local Chat. Microsoft please develope a patch / update to allow myself and a large number of others to
    used local chat. We like to used full sets of headphones and with ones such as turtlebeach it makes it almost impossible to chat with friends on the same system. Thanks for your consideration!!!

    I mad a mistake trusting someone brought a Xbox one s that wasn't as described as he said.

    Contact the Xbox Support chat and explain that you just bought a Xbox and the disc drive is faulty. Also mention the fan noise. They should be able to check if the console is still under warranty. Additionally you can do things like this at your local Microsoft Store.

    They won't be able to hear each other is what they're saying because that's how it works being on the same Xbox.

    What a great question. I have never run into this myself but yeah if you have a partner or friend playing on the same Xbox both who want to chat, then I suppose this would be a nice feature. I don't think this is supported currently though

    Hi Whippy!

    As all of the other replies have said, this would not be possible unless using a single microphone to pick up both of you at once. However, as previously mentioned, your friend could use the Xbox companion app to speak to the party!

    i think you have to have each profile in the party for the chat to go through the headset through the controller. Otherwise you can route party audio through the TV and if you had a kinect use the speaker from that. Or have the 2nd player join the party
    via PC App :)
