Loading Times

I just bought Alien Isolation. I have one night a week I can play because I work two jobs. I put the game in and it wants to download. It has now been four hours and It's only 34% done. I bought 12 Xbox 360's because of red ring. I'm so done now. Done.
Destiny on PS4 took 7 minutes...four hours and counting. Unacceptable. No more Xbox. Ever.

Loading times.

id Software recommends installing the game if you have the room. They specifically say it will reduce loading times and screen pop-in. It will not make a dent in loading times for your saved games, because those are already stored on some form of permanent
media such as a hard drive or flash drive. Installation takes 22 gigabytes of space and about 45 minutes to 1 hour to install. Too bad for PS3 because they require a minimum 8 gigabyte install, but on the otherhand they have 1 game disc.

You must really have bad luck. I've been through only 2 Xbox 360's 1 lasting me over 6+ years and the other was a slim that I traded in for a good deal at Game Stop to put towards the xbox one. I have bought alien isolation and It downloaded for me within
30 minutes. PlayStation isn't honestly much better as I own a ps2 ps3 and a ps4. PS controllers have always been to small for my hands they feel like a toothpick that I would break. Otherwise xbox has been good to me. and the network isn't always going down
for weeks on end like psn either.

 

Sorry to hear it. Please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps.

If it doesn't then disconnect it from the internet for the duration of the install.

 

Just bought far cry 4 on my day off and was hoping to play it today.... the initial install has taken two hours and counting. Had I known about these download times I would not have purchased the system. I have owned an Xbox since the original came out.
This will be my last xbox. It is frustrating to purchase a new game and be unable to play it.
