Load Times and Time In-between Matches

I mostly like this game but there are several nagging issues that get on my nerves. The first issue is that the load times in getting into the matches are probably the longest I have ever seen. Second, the 90 second countdown in-between matches is entirely
too long as well adding to the first issue. It takes longer to get into a match in this game than any other game I have ever played. I am also experiencing lag spikes on a regular basis which is not supposed to happen since it is supposed to be dedicated servers.

Overwatch Crashes on competitive

every time i play competitive match my overwatch crash and dont load back to the match and stay in an infinite loading and dont load back to match.

 

Finally upgrading to xbox one S

ha bf4 "fast loading" misnomer. BF4 is slow as dick too, it's Dice and the engine they use. It's always been the slowest game ever for between matches and it's only gotten worse as time has gone on.

I look forward to Battlefront 2's 40 minute loads.

 

Luckily, I'm always in a party so I rarely notice the long load times.

 

90 seconds, just enough time to go and take a break. if you get my meaning.

 

I thought the load times were really bad as well, but no one really ever talks about it. I thought that maybe it was just me. I would like to see the 90 seconds lowered some as well, but with that and the long load times it does give you a nice break. I
usually refill my burn card selections and look at any challenges that I may be working toward.

 

90 seconds is good. Roll a doobie, take a *** and get a beer. Only children are in a hurry. Slow down kids. There's more to life than playing games.

Yeah, there's more to life than playing games- true. However, during that small portion of my life where i actually AM playing a game, can I ask for shorter load times? Yeah, thanks.

 

^^Only ADHD cant sit for a few minutes, geez, BTW, youll wait as long as they want you too, which is now 90 seconds I believe, amiriot? Maybe you can squeeze in a game of Candy Crush in between matches, dunno.

And I disagree with the needlessly insulting ADHD comment. Coming from Call of Duty, where I believe we had 60 seconds between games, adding another 30 seconds can seem interminable. If you play 10 games of Titanfall in a sitting, that's 300 extra seconds
or Five Extra Minutes you spend sitting there staring at the screen, waiting for the next match. Some folks have nothing better to do with their lives than stare obediently at their screen, but I've got stuff to do, and this game is a brief distraction from
real life.

Add to that the much longer load times for the matches to actually start, and you easily end up with several minutes between matches. I agree it's a small thing to be *** about, but it's a legitimate gripe. For some of us, our time is actually important
in real life. We don't get to play games that often, so when we do have the opportunity, we'd like to get to it already!

 

The reasons its 90 seconds isn't a choice, its down to all the elements need to setup everything, I don't think its as negotiable as people like to think.

 

Personally, I think the timer in COD:Ghosts is way too short. There are so many options in Ghosts that I can never make the changes I want to my character in the time available between matches. The endless options in COD almost force you to exit the lobby
and take the time to configure your character outside of multiplayer.

In Titanfall - 60 seconds would probably be good, but 90 isn't horrible by any stretch. I spend time viewing challenges, changes burn cards, configuring load outs and then we're playing the next match.

I also play Forza 5 which takes about a minute on each side of a single player race to go through the pre/post-game menus. That game makes menus feel like forever - especially since there is nothing to view or configure in between races.

In comparison to other games - Titanfall feels just fine to me.
