Living without Xbox Live

I unfortunately need to cancel my Xbox Live account due to budgetary changes in my life. I've NEVER played online multiplayer games with anyone, so I'm not concerned about this. But I am concerned that I won't be able to do other things. For instance,
can I still play 2-player Local games still? Can I pay for downloads - ie. expansions, new games available to buy online, etc.? Will any of my current game saves be deleted?

Please help with what will change once I cancel my Xbox Live account. Thanks SO much for your assistance!!!

Is it more fun to play live ?

Live is really good, Xbox is boring to me without live.

 

Do i need xbox live

You can't even use the BBC iplayer for free without an xbox live subscription.

This is one of many Microsofts negatives that I don't like.

They automatically believe your going to get xbox live for online gaming so everything else is a bonus.

If your not interested in getting xbox live then your limited to what you can do really.

 

Ok, you don't need to cancel the account because without a Gold membership you don't actually pay for anything.

If you do have a Gold membership that is recurring then you should contact phone support to turn it off.

After that you can continue playing local with the games that your gamertag owns and hop online to purchase items as you need to.
