Live TV with ticker flickering

I am not sure if anyone else is noticing this on channels like ESPN, but the ticker at the bottom of the screen is not displaying consistently. When the text scrolls, it jutters or gets fuzzy. This happened a while ago when an update was released, but
it appears it has come back. It doesn't always happen, but it is happening. My setup is Directv to xbox one to receiver to tv. I've tried sending signal directly to TV too and issue still happens when sending signal through xbox one to tv. It does not
happen when I feed directv through receiver or directly to tv.

I've performed all of the problem shooting steps located in the previous live tv degrading conversations and XBOX one help topics to no avail.

Please address this.

Flickering on live tv

I have everything set up and for some reason my live tv is flickering. I can't watch tv like this.

The Xbox One S and my tv

So, the flickering I was having with my TV was due to a bad HDMI cable. Swapped it out and the flickering stopped. Xbox still thinks the TV can support HDR but that it's not turned on, but I still can't select that menu option. Oh well, at least the flickering
stopped!

I'm having the same issue with the scroll/ticker at the bottom of the screen. Whether it's ESPN or CNN or the NFL Network the words stutter or get fuzzy.

Please fix!

Hey there StaggeredWolf65!

Sorry to hear about the flickering issue! Let's start by doing a full power cycle to see if that helps with the issue! Follow each of the steps below:

Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
Once the unit is powered off, unplug the power cable and HDMI cables from the Xbox One and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Plug the power and HDMI cables back into the unit and power the console on.

Post back and let us know if that helps with the issue! If the issue persists, try using a different HDMI cable to go from the Xbox One console to the cable box.

@MPaullin - this is almost always because of a loose HDMI cable.

Figured out my issue. Cat took a bite out of the HDMI cable.

So clearly it has something to do with HDMI signal. Replaced the cable and all is well.
