Live TV, Vodafone IPTV, Portugal

We're changing telco providers on 14th April from Spark ADSL to Vodafone ultra cable 100 down 10 up and getting Vodafone freeview TV so will be scrapping Sky TV. It means less cost and much better internet speeds. May keep Netflix it's awesome. I like the
programs and movies even though we may not get all the content US does. Netflix charges a lot less a month than Sky. And Vodafone offer better value and service. Fibre won't be rolled out by Spark/Chorus until 2019 only like 10% of NZ has it and we live in
a big city. Vodafone though owns cable which we can get. Where as Spark can't even provide VDSL.

Absolutely. Live TV has been dying a death for the past decade. TV on demand and IPTV is the way forward. Always has been always will be. The only TV that really 'needs' to be live is sports and other events. Beyond that TV like other media is having to
learn that if it wants to be successful in today's world it has to fit in with the consumers lifestyle, not the other way round.

There is no app that is currently available on the Xbox 360 that lets you record shows to your Xbox 360. It WAS a projected feature back in 2011, but its been slow to develop and for now its only IPTV which for Verizon Fios, Sky TV, or Foxtel in your case,
you can stream live TV, but not record it like a DVR. Cable companies would lose lots of money over it and would probably then block IPTV access to your Xbox 360 all together.

And transferring it to PC, that would be even harder since the Xbox 360's Hard Drive is formatted differently than a PC.

Ja die haben wohl die FAQ noch nicht geupdatet... senderlisten und Informationen werden seit dem Juni update angezeigt und funktionieren seit dem auch in Deutschland Mit dem July update wird auch die Bildqualität nochmal um einiges besser, jedenfalls
hatte ich das Gefühl bei den WM Spielen

Jedenfalls fehlt Vodafone IPTV bei der Providerauswahl was mich eben wundert, da einige nur regional verfügbare ISPs die mit unter sehr klein sind aufgelistet sind. Aber über Vodafone verliere ich jetzt besser kein Wort mehr

Ist aber auch echt ein Mammut-Projekt was Microsoft da vor hat. Chapeau
