Live TV Quality Degrades After Update

The update seems to have fixed the frame rate judder I was experiencing with live tv, but has also created a new one. Now whenever there is movement on screen against a brightly coloured background, there's a sort of shimmer or blurring around the moving
object. It seems to be to do with interlacing, as it goes away if I set my freesat HD box to output 720p instead of 1080p. That didn't happen before the recent updates, and also goes away if I connect the freesat box directly to the tv.

Like others I've also been having occasional issues when starting the tv app, like it not recognising my freesat box is connected, or the sound being pitched much too deep almost like it has been slowed down. Quitting and restarting the app fixes those problems,
but with this latest issue (incidentally, turning off 50Hz support makes no difference) I'm keeping my freesat box connected directly to the tv until more updates come along.

Updated this morning. Seems to fix jitter for me. Even went back to native mode on directv tickers look smooth again on both 720p and 1080i channels.

I'm seeing the jitter and degraded resolution again today, while watching football on ESPNU. It's hard to tell or know if this is the bug returning or if the broadcast is coming in that way. It's nowhere nearly as consistent and seems to be happening in
"a few second spurts", coming and going. Also, resolution looks degraded as well, and looks upsampled to 720 at best. This is not coming and going. This is an HD broadcast and was OK at the start of the game. This is the first time I've seen this since the
fix was released.

Lordkramuk - Yes, MS is aware of the issue. I am in the Xbox Preview program and it has been an issue for some of the testers (myself included) since the first Sept preview build was released to us almost 3 weeks ago. Yet, for whatever reason, MS went
ahead and pushed the Sept update to everyone on Friday anyway...

Having said that, MS did release another September build to us preview users last night (xb_rel_1409.140829-1829) with a potential fix for the issue and it did fix the jittery video for some/most of the preview users (including myself, I have Time Warner
Cable in USA). My guess is it will be pushed out to everyone in the next few days (barring any other issues that come up, of course).

I have the same problem since the new update, using Shaw cable in Canada. found that changing the input on the tv to another source and then back will fix it for 10-15 mins but then the stuttering returns...

Thanks. Getting the update now.

It will take a little time to be sure the issue is fixed. It has been coming an going all night while watching the Mariners. I good test will be the next baseball game, though I feel like if it's really fixed the problem will just be gone for all shows regardless.
(Was surprised when it happened watching an old B&W movie on TCM. My wife said everything looked like an old football film, which was a pretty good description.)
