Live TV jittering after most recent update

Apologies if this is the wrong section.

After the most recent update my live tv is suffering from a jittering picture, I have my Sky HD box passing through my console and have tried various suggestions from Xbox supports twitter account but still cant solve the jitter. I found someone else on
twitter with the same issue and I gather this was a common issue a couple of years ago. Wondering if anyone else is having this problem?

You might also try changing the colour depth setting. At 36 bits my TV jittered, at 30bits it didn't!

accidentally set the parental control password and do not remember,please help to clean it up and throw completely to factory settings xbox 360e

I am definitely having this issue since the new update... really annoying.

I've tried all solutions (changing SKYBox settings, new HDMI cable, changing TV settings, changing all of the Xbox One settings).... none of which fix the issue.

I have had to resort to unplugging the SKYBox from the Xbox One and back into the tv just to stop myself from yelling at the screen!

Really annoying and in my opinion cancels out the who reason I chose Xbox over PS4..... to finally loose the remote controls and gain an 'all in one' entertainment experience.

One other thing I've discovered is that with the new update Microsoft have removed the 'gestures' option from the Kinect and I now have no options to motion scroll through my Xbox dashboard!!!!

WHY????........ Again, that was one of the selling points for me with this console... the whole Kinect/motion thing. It took me ages to get used to is and perfect the movements which I then used consistently.

Microsoft/Xbox better get their act together quick in my opinion or I may switch allegiance! :0[

Well said. I also picked Xbox one over PS4 because of TV integration.

I didn't mind putting up with the slight degradation in picture quality, but the stuttering after NXOE is unacceptable.

You might try popping back into your TV settings and set the frequency of the picture to 60hz (yes, you don't want that setting but wait a minute).

Then hard reset and pop back in and change it to 50hz. That fixed it for me some months ago in Beta.

I also fiddled with the HDMI input settings so if the 60/50 trick doesn't work. Swpa the other settings and swap them back again.

Mato - I realise you seem to have tried these but I wanted to let others know they might work for them.

Mine is doing this as well since the update (also Sky HD). Has made tv unwatchable through the console. Can't find an option anywhere to select the frequency though. Have you any pointers as to where to look (I've checked the display options where I can
select 720/1080p output and there's nothing there)...

Had this post update and eventually noticed the refresh rate for TV over hdmi had been reset back to 60hz. Swapped it back to 50hz for pal TV and it's been okay since. Also have sky hd. Gotta be worth looking to see just to check .

If it's on 50 already then I dunno...maybe they'll patch it

I have the same issue. It's runs ok for a short while then starts juddering. On sky hd also.

I'm having this issue Xbox is set to 50hz sky had to 720p. Any ideas please.

Yeah no worries..

It's settings > TV and one guide > audio and video.

On the left hand side of that screen under HDMI where it says refresh rate highlight where it's says refresh rate and as you highlight 50hz it will say underneath about this being for PAL broadcasts which we are in the uk.

Select that and then back out to the home.

You'll then find the TV will switch back to 60hz when you close the TV app as to play games and show the dash it uses 60 but when you fire up the TV app it'll switch to 50hz and that should solve the juddering. I had it quite badly , especially on channels
with scrolling text , bbc news channel , sky news etc and that setting sorted it out.

Hopefully it will for you. Post back either way though.
