    Live TV Intermittent No Audio or Stuttered Video


    Since receiving the NXOE I've had many occasions where live TV has either no audio or stuttered video playback.

    I am able to fix this by performing a hard restart of the system.

    I'd love a patch to resolve this, or at least the option to restart the live TV app. Since the update I only have the option to restart OneGuide, which does not restart the LIve TV app.

    I have a tivo premire and I run the tivo thru the pass thru and then to the tv, and I got audio lag for live tv and recorded shows as well. So far it's intermittent.

    This is a definite problem. Live TV worked flawlessly before NXOE and now hard restarts are a daily requirement. Stuttering TV, Loss of sound.

    This is a real issue though as i may be forced to 'pull the plug' on this setup until it's fixed seeing how this is driving the main TV room for the family.

    Charter > Xbox > TV.

    Throwing my hat in the ring. Frequently needing to do a hard restart to get video to be smooth again.

    I am connected using HDMI and Bitstream for audio and connected to home theater. The audio for the live tv will not work 90% of the time if the XBONE has been off for more then 5 min, but today it stopped while in the middle of a show. At first I just closed
    the live TV app and it will work but now it will not. I even unplugged the HDMI cable from both the XBONE and the tv set-top box with some success but now I have to unplug the power for the XBONE for a minute and then it will work most of the time. Output
    HDMI cable from the XBONE is the one that came with it, I have tried multiple HDMI cables from the set-top box to the XBONE tv input and no luck. I did read a post on here about the factory HDMI cable having a slightly longer male connector and also the female
    connectar are a bit deep, so I compared the cables to the factory one and I was surprised that it was a bit longer (compared to 4). I have bypassed connecting the tv set-top box to the XBONE and connected directly to the tv and audio and video worked fine.
    I even left it plugged in to XBONE but removed the cable from the set-top box and plugged into my laptop, so the live tv app was showing my laptop but no audio (had video playing in youtube). Every other app works fine (netflix, youtube) even switching from
    live tv (with the audio not working) to one of those apps and they had audio but not the live tv. And yes they are all high speed cables, no force was use to install, cables were not bent to install.

    This is the post I read, now they talk about the HDMI port being loose I don't know if I agree with that. It does seem loose but that just may be the cable not be able to go all the way in, maybe not i dont know. forums.xbox.com/.../1664164.aspx

    HDMI Input causing intermittent Audio and Video signal loss issues

    I just ran into the same problem this morning and emptying the cache also worked for me. This fixed issues with no audio while watching live TV and stuttering video that would pause every 5 seconds or so as if the picture was buffering.

    I've also had blu-ray problems since day one, both with out of sync and stuttering. I've had my system replaced through the Microsoft warranty program and the new one is the same, either audio and/or video stutters intermittently. I'm pretty sure it's
    the blu-ray app. Which really isn't a big surprise considering how terrible the OS is it's no wonder the blu-ray app is terrible.
