Live TV Freezing

Hi. I love the live TV app on Xbox One. However, recently I've started to have problems. I use instant on mode and when I wake the Xbox and then start the TV app, I get problems. I usually see either a blank screen, a freeze frame image from the current
TV channel or the current channel with no sound and stuttering video. Restarting the Set Top Box and the TV app doesn't fix this, however, restarting the console does. I know it's not a back breaker problem but I would really appreciate if anyone could tell
me if they're also experiencing this problem and if Microsoft have a fix. Here are the details:

Xbox One system version : 6.2.11797.0

STB: Bush DH2636 FreeView HD

TV: LG 32LG3000 (720p)

G'day Masterly! Let's try a power cycle on your console.

• Hold the power button on the console for 5-10 seconds and allow it to completely shut down.
  
• Unplug the power supply for a full 30 seconds.
• Plug it back in and reboot, then switch to TV.

Is there any change once this has been done?

I am also having this issue. Mine was working great until the Xbox One update came out last week. Since then, the TV feature has been completely useless. I have tried almost everything mentioned above: new cables, new STB (DVR and non-DVR), resetting
the TV settings. I didn't try the resetting the settings back to factory default, but I did try the hard reboot. Basically, I turned it off and then unplugged the console for about 1 min. Since then it has been working as expected, but this has been less
than an hour. I'll update this later if there's any change.

Please note, after plugging it back in, I had to turn it on with the controller and manually turn on my devices. This is because it was not in the low power state when plugging it back in. Just making this note in case anyone does this and is not sure
why the other devices didn't work right away.

 

this has been ongoing since One launch. still no fix or explanation. only solution is the hard reset. an alternate way to go about doing it if you dont want to hold the button down is go into settings on the dashboard (press start key and scroll down
to settings) select networking, select advanced settings, select alternate mac address, select clear and it will hard reset your xbox.

 

I'm just sticking to using the restart option in Settings / Power. Was really frequent for a while there.

 

I've been troubleshooting this for a few months. Tried multiple HDMI cables. Seems I found a solution, using the Xbox one HDMI cable from the cable box to the Xbox one seemed to resolve the issue. Also, check your ports, the HDMI ports on the back of the
Xbox are loose and shallow, the cords fall out easily.

 

I have a CISCO 8742HDC and have been experiencing the same issue for some time now. My TV is a Panasonic Plasma 1080p. The behavior is intermittent, yet highly annoying. Time Warner Cable has no clue -- it is either a problem with the XBOX One TV software
or the cable box seeing the XBOX One as a foreign entity. Resetting the cable box and changing the HDMI cable rarely make a difference. Resetting (complete power down) the XBOX One did seem to help the last time.

A previous (Samsung?) cable box would begin this behavior and then display an error message stating "This calble box is attached to a non-HDCP device." So perhaps this is a response to perceive attempts to copy copyrighted TV.

This problem has lingered for far too long -- I have non-technical people in the house who will not tolerate this any further. Plugging the cable box HDMI signal directly into the TV is just circumventing the problem.
