    Live TV Can't Change Channels


    My wife bought me the Xbox remote for Christmas and I am trying to set the Live TV up. I have set everything up and I am able to watch TV though my Xbox; however, when I access the TV listings through the Xbox, I can view all the channels, but it will not
    allow me to change the channel. I have gone through the Device Control and entered in my TV, Cable box and Audio Receiver remote codes, but still nothing. I even tried to use the Xbox controller to change the channel, but that didn't work either. Below
    are my cable and tv info:

    - Cable provider: Direct TV

    - TV Panasonic TC-P60ST60

    - Location: Phoenix area zip code 85140

    Am I trying to do something that is not available in my area?

    Problems Signing In?

    Same here. Makes the TV app useless. Can't change the channel because you can only change to a channel name, but it doesn't know any channel names. I can't fall back to Netflix either.

    Can't change liveTV channels XFinity box RNG150N

    Live tv stream works, but I can't change channels up or down. The guide will load correctly, but selecting a channel on the guide won't change the channel either. Remote code is set to C1982 as most other threads like this say to be. Any advice on how to
    rectify this situation?

    Everything works besides changing channel :/

    I have the same/similar problem as the first poster. I live in Florida and have a Cisco box thru Comcast. I can turn the tv on thru voice commands but can't change the channels. I tried the TV set 3 or 4 times the set goes find until the channel up stage
    which does nothing. I do have a channel guide.

    It came in the mail yesterday and I plugged it in and set it up very easy. It scanned for about 5 minutes for the channels. I was getting a weird noise from watching TV but I changed channel and it went away so I think it was just that channel. I'll check
    again tonight. But it looks great no guide overlap so I'm happy. I tested the pause live TV and worked like a charm. Can't wait for them to add dvr function too.

    Pause, rewind, fast forward, etc commands do not work with live TV

    Yep, the Xbox One communicates with my DVR/cable box just fine for every other command except for pausing live tv.. It turns my cable box off/on automatically, it changes channels, etc. I just can't get it to pause live television..

    It depends on how you're trying to change the channels. You can't use the remote to change the channels, since the Kinect is what receives the input to pass through the command for the TV, but you should be able to use the controller, and the Xbox smart
    glass app.
