Live TV audio cuts out when set top box returns from standby mode

I hope this is the appropriate place to report this issue. I have a set top box provided by my ISP for IPTV. It (unfortunately) has a permanent setting that puts it in "standby" mode after an 8-hour period of inactivity. That's all well and good, since it
just means I need to hit "OK" on my remote to wake it up.

However, when it wakes up, the Xbox TV app does not play audio - only video. I am forced to either restart the set top box to reset the configuration on the Xbox, or restart the Xbox. I've already contacted the ISP, and they say that they cannot change the
standby mode setting. So that leaves the Xbox as my only course for change.

Is there any way to have the Xbox automatically refresh its configuration with a TV signal - perhaps when the TV app is reopened or started? It is such a hassle to have to reboot my set top box or Xbox in order to refresh the signal and receive audio once
again.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Live TV delayed audio

Hello i have a big Problem. I'm watching tv trough my set top box connected to the xbox. The Xbox HDMI goes to my tv and then i have an sound system that connects through HDMI ARC audio return so the sound goes off my sound system. The Problem is the sound
from my Set top box is delayed. Any help for me?

 

Xfinity / Comcast cable box (RNG110) No audio

I had this exact same problem and struggled with it for a while with my Comcast RNG110 set top box - no audio when going through TV, but all other audio from the XBox One worked. Tried changing a bunch of settings in my set top box and nothing worked. I
figured it was an HDMI cable issue but I didn't have another HDMI cable so I simply switched the cables (the HDMI cable that ran between the set-top box and the XBox now runs between the XBox and the TV and the one from the XBox to the TV now runs between
the XBox and the set-top box). Everything works perfectly now!

We'd be happy to take a look and see what might be possible here in terms of settings. Can you please provide us with the Manufacturer and Model number of the STB that you're using? Are you also using a soundbar to output the audio or are you just using
the STB with the Xbox One console and an HDMI cable.

The STB I am connecting with is a Cisco ISB7050. It is connected directly into the Xbox One console via HDMI.

What steps have you tried already to resolve the problem? When you encounter the problem, have you tried to exit the app and then re open it by hitting the menu button on the controller and selecting exit from the dashboard? This is generally the best way
to close an app fully when something like this happens.
