Live TV APP Freezes After Navigating Menu

About %80 of the time I go back and launch the TV APP it becomes frozen (tv picture frozen on old frame, xbox is not frozen) requiring me to turn off the console. Perhaps %10 of the time it freezes after waiting a minute or two we will get the live TV working.
(becomes un froze)

This is not a issue with cable box as during these events I have plugged the cable box directly into a TV input and it is working just fine.

I have also notice small freezes and framerate issues after watching TV for a extended period of time.

madden 25 not working

I haven't been able to play madden the past three days. Freezes up when loading the main menu. My tv app has also stopped working.

 

Redbox/BluRay player issues

Is fast forwarding through previews just a no-no? A few seconds after I try and speed through to the menu, shit just freezes up, screen goes black, app shuts down, restarts from the beginning. Wasn't sure if it was a Redbox thing, or the player itself. Insight?

 

I am now getting "For some reasons TV took too long to start 0x8027025a for several hours now the TV app does not even start. It goes to a black screen with the TV icon prior to showing the error message.

I have tried starting, re-attaching power,hdmi etc to the xbox however now the app seems to be broken for good.

I also see this issue (the issues in my first post) on my brothers device as well as a friends. Seems like this needs to be hot fixed asap, after all this was part of the big sales pitch.

Will this behavior be fixed in a System Update?

 

Should we RMA these devices because I cannot get through a 30 minute show without having to intervene, pause the Comcast DVR and reboot the xbox.

The only reasons I do not have a PS4 right now is because of the TV integration.

Xbox's bread and butter selling point is toasted. Please issue a fix by the end of January.

 

The issue has now escalated. After Live TV freezes or the error is show console will completely turn off.

Turning on produces a green xbox one screen only available if power adapter unplugged. Normal shut off/restart skips this process after it has been turned on.

 

Since I cant edit posts, permission denied.

This incident results in a tertiary issue. Now that the console has turned off. Turning on the device now turns off the cable box, TV should you have them setup and integrated. Turning off the device turns on TV/box as now since the device has crashed things
are reversed.

Extremely annoying and unacceptable.

The following information is very useful.

1. Make & Model of STB (cable/sat box)

2. TV Provider

3. Layout (example: STB HDMI Xbox One HDMI TV) (please note splitters and hubs).

HDMI is not just some cable. It is a packet authentication cable, and there are tons of different types. Early versions of these cables do not have audio pins. I am recommending HDMI 2.0 all the way through.

We look at the Xbox One as an ever evolving eco-system. The console you see today will not be the same console 6 month/1 year/ etc. down the line. If you take the 360 as an example, from the blades dashboard to what it is today, what a difference! Even in
the video/audio quality it is much better than it was. The same will be true here, this is the first step in the evolution of “next gen” consoles. Please hang in there. We will be bringing out updates to fix and improve things like this. Thank you for understanding.
